i noticed some people berate their spelling - and other's perhaps ought to.... :)
well, my daughter solved the problem for me:

www.atomica.com

it truly makes life easier! with that program you just press ALT and click ANY word on your screen with your mouse and up pops a screen telling you all about it.... or errr, often in my case a polite: "did you mean...?" and a list of words i may have been aiming for.

and it's free! so go for it!

A while back we had our own spellchecker here. But the site we used to tie into went out of business.

This looks like it might be a good replacement. Thanks for the link.
