...If so do you think hes cool? I think he is well laid back and calm, better than the other chat show hosts who just want to rile there guests.

gee i dunno.. i kinda like Jerry Springer.. (NOT)

Maury seems like he really cares about his guests and getting them help... not all about ratings like some of the rest....


sheeeesh..... i do have a job and dont just sit around watching them... but it sounds like i do...lol

I think these shows are hilarious. Most of em are the same, My teen this, my teen that. but my personal Fav. is my teen daughter is Pregnant and needs to know the father. It is funny. Yes, I know it is not a funny matter but I can not help it. Yes, Maury is a well laid back kinda guy. He is actually my fav.:D

I personally can't stand shows like that. They sicken me. I just don't understand who in there right mind would want to air their dirty laundry on national television. I just don't get it. <shrugs>

I watch Maury sometimes (we're on a first name basis you see :)) but I'm partial to Montel Williams. He's also one of the good guys. He gets emotional, he feels his guests pain and tells them like it is! :bigredgri He's kinda hot to.

I agree with Dria to a certain degree, but I personally think Maury ROCKS!!! He's such a laid-back, easy-going type guy...and I like the inspirational stories he discusses...he really doesn't have a lot of that "my brother is my husband and my father is my uncle" type crap. Jerry Springer makes me wanna hurl...so does Ricki Lake...Sally Jessy....mmmm....borderline....

I agree with you on this one Dria. What scares me the most is the extremely high number of people they get on these shows. Are there really that many people out there with really screwed up lives??!! It's enough to make you sick!!:sick: :sick:


The only good thing about these shows is maybe some people will actually get the help that they need>

Ugh, I'm just not a fan of daytime TV. When I'm sick, I hate the fact that it's only "daytime TV" that's on TV more than the actual sickness itself! 8O I will admit that Maury doesn't completely disgust me, but I still don't actually watch his show. :)

the only time i saw maury's show was when my granddaughter was on it. he had as guests people w/tourette's and he put together an excellent, informative show about it.

i don't watch much tv... if someone asks what's on tv, i have been known to absently reply: oh, i donno... a couple of books, some dust....

i remember that show pilvikki and i've still got a tape of it somewhere around the house. nikki was and is a lovely young lady. she's also extremely smart and talented.

Hmm...maybe I'm odd man out, I love talk shows...I don't watch them regularly at all, but when they are on, and I'm in the mood, I watch them. Followed by the court shows...I'm a fan of unrealistic cheesey stuff.
I like Maury to answer the question though. And, Montell. Can't watch Queen Latifa or Rosie or any of those girl talk shows. lol
And that mean I definately can't watch "The view".

i just spent some 'quality time' w/said lovely, talented young lady....
and what does she want to do? she wants to spend this 'quality time' at the arcade doing some DDR thing, which means dancing to some lighted spots on the floor.....
hmmm, i do believe i'm jealous. i would never had had the nerve to do that in a public mall and she even had a small audience watching her. YIKES!
apart from that she was fun company, which got her through yet another day - alive!
lol!
