I'm not a big soda drinker, mostly water, black tea, herbal teas, some coffee, and strawberry-passion-awareness-Fruitopia.
I voted for Coke because I drink the diet if I do feel like a soda, but I'd likely drink more diet root beer if it was consistently available.

My tummy stopped being able to handle caffine. . . I went pure cola-free for like two months, nearly went insane, then found caffine-free pepsi!!! with the sugar!!! (I hate the diet. . . call me paranoid but my grandfather and other family members died from cancers and they had diabetes and had to consume a lot of nutrasweet. . . studdies and all, my dad (and some of us) are still a bit paranoid about it, so I try to avoid it. Besides, I don't like the aftertaste it leaves.) *grins and sips her caffine-free pepsi* I'd rather have coke but my dad likes pepsi, and i don't care so long as it's a cola ^^; but other than this stuff if I go out to eat I have to get caffine free, so pretty much any resturant soda BESIDES colas are caffine-free. . . stupid resturants. They have the diet but not caffine free.

Pepsi and Coke: too chalky,
H20: feels like being absorded into my throat,
Diet Pepsi: Good when spiked with citris(lemonade my fave)
Diet Coke : Shaky hand and uhhh noise
Root Beer: Flat
Dr Pepper: Flat
Mr Pibb: shaky hand and uhhh noise.

So i guess diet pepsi's the winner,
try it first, don't deny your thirst.

Hmm...I don't drink anything carbonated...I just never liked it. If I flatten it first I like orange and grape soda. Also root beer and mountain dew. But only flat (I could never take carbonation).
I like coffee on occation (but I don't drink much, I'm allergic to caffeine).
I like juice, but drink it in moderation because I'm allergic to most juices id est cranberry, orange, anything acidic...
I am lactose intolerant, so I don't drink milk...don't like the taste anyhow.
None of my allergies are severe, and I can still consume them, but in small amounts if I want to avoid a reaction...

So.....I suppose iced tea and water are good for me. :D
Also, I don't like alcohol really...sans wine. I'm a huge wine fan. And, with my <b>low tolerance</b>, a tall glass of wine makes me giggle profusely. But you'll never find me ordering a mixed drink...it aint my style.

i have tryed some of that stuff... its mighty damn good... but i personally enjoy vodka (kettle one) and OJ, and every once in a blue moon.. straight everclear or brandy...

I do prefer Coke if I'm going to drink a cola. I really miss THE original recipe, not the recipe that they changed "back" to after the flop of the "new" formula. You can still get the real original if you happen across a Mexican food place that sells Coke in the bottle, made in Mexico. That's the stuff!

Mostly I prefer coffee, H20, a good Merlot, Mead and...

TEQUILA! :p :D

My drink of choice is coke. Actully it was one of my addictions. But I started to get stomach aches and weened off it for awhile and my stomach aches are now gone.

Here in Canada its pop....not soda. Chances are if you come up here no one will say soda...just a little observation :)

The funny thing to all of this........
I NEVER drank pop at all before I got pregnant with my darling daughter! I mean nada, zip, zero, zilch. Got preggie with her and absolutley ~craved~ the stuff. I have been totally unable to kick it since!
One day. ahhhhh one day........I will give it all away, but in the meantime, I don't drink coffee so my caffiene fix comes from the coke.

In Ohio it's called pop too...however, I'm not originally from Ohio, I'm from NY....and just say pop to a NYer. Hahaha, they will think you are nuts.
I never even heard the word pop (in that sense) till I moved here. It still shocks me to hear, and I've been here near on seven years. What can I say? Once a New Yorker, always a New Yorker.
In NY it's soda...anything that fizzes is soda, but a root beer, is just a root beer. So it'll go...."Want some soda?" "Sure" "What kind?" "Orange"
It's just not like that in some parts of Ohio. If you say, "I want a soda" to some people...they'll assume you're asking for selzer water. Ick. But that only happens to me in the back country. Most people are hip to my lingo.

Hi all!
Ice water or iced tea most of the time.No sugar in the tea,and it's sun tea.Occasionally I go to the Sonic and have a cherry Dr Pepper or a cherry Limeade.Yum!
Of an evening,I'm really partial to Budweiser from the ice chest.
Here,they don't call it soda or pop.Usually someone will say "You want a coke?"or "Let's go get a coke" and it basically means any carbonated sweet drink.Could be Pepsi,7UP,etc.
Oh,and A&W Root Beer is wonderful.And Royal Crown ain't bad,I like it better than Pepsi or Coke.
But I only have a sweet drink once or twice a week.Usually it's water,tea,or Budweiser!Oh,and my home made wine is pretty tasty.

The last road trip we made, my son got me started drinking Sobe'. Man, are they good! I've been sorely tempted to buy a case for home, but so far have managed to not get started down that slippery slope. I'll just have to wait for the next road trip. Every flavor is good, but I am especially fond of the orange dreamsicle flavor, mmmm.

And yes, the 7UP commercials are a hoot (poor doggie)!
