Mystickwicks Members Gathering-Sat., July 28th in OKC

Howdy, everybody!

Just a reminder about the Regional Gathering in OKC on the 28th. For those who want to get a jump on the day, meet at 9:30 AM at the McDonalds north of Frontier City - take the NE 122nd St exit from I-35. Both Mickey D's & the amusement park are on the west side of the highway. The park opens at 10:00 (I think). For those who can't don't want to go that early, EVERYONE GOING meet in the main entertainment area (accessed from the arcade or the candy shop; ask for directions) at 2:00 PM. That should give everyone time to arrive from wherever you may be coming from. Please see the thread "Mid-South Regional Gathering" for hotel info, admission & parking info, etc (I'd pull it up, but I'm really crunched for time right now). Try to wear red, black, & white ribbons (the Pagan "Tri-Color") so we can recognize each other. Come prepared for temperatures near 100 degrees.

I will try to be at McDonald's at 9:30 to meet & greet, but will probably return at 2:00 with the family (I can't do 12 hrs in an amusement park anymore). If you want to meet & greet at 9:30, & go somewhere AC'd 'til later, I'll be glad to make helpful suggestions. Lots of things to see & do.

The Charlie Daniels Band is playing an outdoor concert that evening (at approx. dark. Bring you lawn chairs or blankets). It's included win the admission. Bring a Pepsi can for a discount.

Between now & next Friday, please RSVP if you are going to come, so that if we're expecting you, we'll wait (a reasonable amount of time).

Hmm... the local 'geezer rock' station plays a lot of Charlie Daniel's earlier stuff... I didn't even realize he had been classified "country " 'til a few years ago when I saw him on some country awards show... ~sigh~... too bad it's not Reba... she wouldn't have to make a sound, just stand there... `sigh~

My company is having it's annual 'company picnic' at Frontier City on the same day. They'll be picking up the cost of my family's tickets & dinner. Woohoo!

Ok this is no definate RSVP but a tentative one until i can speak with the powers that be...a.k.a. my boss!!! We will definately do our best to be there even if i have to leave straight from work which is a good possibility!! i will let you know for sure very soon.

So who else is gonna committ??? Lets see a show of hands folks!!!

We're probably coming. I really hope you can get the time off Semele. :)
My only problem is we might not go to the park because we don't have my daughter, who would've loved it, and I don't want to drag a 13 mo old around there. He wouldn't like it. So at the very least we'll be at the meet and greet in the morning. :)

:( Aww...I really wish I could make it, but first of all I'll be in Utah and second, I'm only 15 and I highly doubt my Mormon father would let me go to Oklahoma to meet a bunch of Pagans that I met online! I have only recently become a member here, but I certainly love you guys! :) I really really wish you all the best, and please be sure to take plenty of pictures for me! I hope it's a very :sunny: sunny :sunny: day!

Well guys haven't yet arranged for the night off from work, but we will be there all the same. Probably leave as soon as I get off work that morning and be back in time to go to work that night if necessary. We wouldn't miss it though. Can't wait to meet you all!!!

Ok well....now who is gonna be there??? I am confused!! LOL!!! I will be there with little or no sleep and have to come back to work that night. Is it going to be worth it?? Rick, I think everyone dropped out on us at the last minute due to Unforseen circumstances..

What are we going to do?
