I have an expulsion hearing comming up for school and I dont know what to say to keep from getting expelled. It all started a week or so ago when I was with one of my friends, shes a lesbian but shes not really comfortable with it yet, it kinda disturbs her so Ive been trying to help her through it and actually its been going really well. But one day, this little bastard and his friends came up to us and he fired off "Hey look, its the rookie rug eater!" She started to cry after a few minnutes of insults and I tried to calm her down, I told the kid to go away but he didnt and he just kept insulting the both of us, my friend was crying harder and harder. I kept getting more and more pissed untill I lost my temper and launched myself at the kid. I broke a bunch of bones in his hand by stomping on it with my foot and several bruises and I did something to his head when I hit him for the first time because he fell back and hit his head on the concrete. He claimed he never did anything and now Im in trouble for "agrivated assault". So I dont know what to say at the hearing so I dont get expelled or arrested.

You should tell them about your friends situation becasue they are not aloud to expose that to anyone anyways and tell them that wouldn't leave alone. Tell them the truth and that you never held a grudge against this person you just repetivaly asked them to go away and they wouldln't he just kept on going so you lunged youself at him. Usually it is hard to get out of something like that but you most likely could at least get him in trouble too. My friend just got expelled for "racimsm" the other day becasue she called a girl a pussy in class and then the girl came to get in a fight with her and she socked my friend first. Then when they went up to the office my firend got expelled for being racist. Saying pussy isn't being racist. So I don't really know if you can get out of it.

Antoninus, I'm sorry your friends feelings were hurt, and I'm sorry you lost your temper...
Sounds to me like you went a bit to far.
I hope the other kid is ok.
Just tell the truth.
Are there no witnesses? (seems like in school there should be)
I would hope, & suspect you learned some type of lesson from all this.
Hopefully so did the guy who got the crap beaten out of him.
(but there is a mighty big difference between running a mouth & putting your hands on someone)
Good Luck!

I wish you the best of luck....but realistically.....justice does not allow anger to be relieved by physical acts.

You are just in trouble babe........You did the deed, you're gonna have to live with the consequences..........
That being said, I might have done the same thing.....I would have been wrong.......but.......

How about getting your friend on your defense?
Explain what happened, without getting into too much detail.
It sound like you were prevoked, although I think you went too far by stomping on his hand.
Even if he may have deserved it

There's an awful lot of sense in Flora's words. Antoninus - I'm sorry to say it - but if it happened as you say, the other kid was a jerk, but ultimately you're in the wrong for escalating the situation into physical violence. In the situation you described, it wasn't necessary to use physical force to defend yourself or your friend.
I recommend that you tell the truth, too. Then apologize as humbly and politely as you can. Basically, if I were you, I'd throw myself on their mercy if I wanted to stay in school. Offer to pay the other kid's medical bills, get some anger management therapy, and to do school-sponsored "community work." (And if this wins their approval, then make sure you do what's required of you.) Sometimes showing responsibility and remorse for your actions can go a long way.

How about the lies stop huh? If this would have happened you would have been arrested onsite not at a hearing a couple of weeks later. I am sick of you coming into this community and telling whoppers to get attention. If you feel that noone will listen to you unless you tell a big exaggerated tale then you are wrong. No more stories or you are going to be out of here. Do I make myself perfectly clear?!

Im not over 18, you get arrested for assault if your over 18. For a fight, you get suspended for 3 days and then you get an expulsion hearing.

If that's the case, then why mention you might be arrested in your first post?
So I dont know what to say at the hearing so I dont get expelled or arrested.
You need to stop that, or noone will know what to believe. It makes people hurt and angry to think they've been lied to.

I'd have to agree with Hoot. If you are hungry for attention that's one thing.. but lying about things to get attention. that's just a waste of everyone's time.

When I was in sixth grade, I received a similar punishment, for a less violent act. Someone was annoying me by calling me "animal lover" for showing affection to the class hamster and guinea pig. I had been ignoring him all year, and had enough of his foolishness. I just told him to shut up, and in an immature sixth grade kind of way, told him "I'll kill you". Someone overheard me, and told on me. This was during the Columbine tradegy, so they took it very seriously. The kid who was harrassing me recieved no punishment.
So basically what I'm saying is just accept the punishment. Yes, it's sad that some people in the world have to be so immature and mean spirited, but the best you can do is just ignore them as best you can, and just remember you're better than them.

You should tell them the truth. That the little cretan not only deserved but EARNED it and that you would probably (i'm assuming) do the same thing if the situation were to come around again.
Personally, if i were you after having gotten in trouble I would have found the crud(?) head and really made him wish he was never born.
Blessed Be....

I can only speak about the 2 states I live in, yes I basically live in 2 states. You get arrested if you commit an assault, no matter what your age......and the authorities decide whether you will be tried as an adult or not.....the schools don't have a say in it. An assault is an assault no matter where it takes place! Oh and then the school decides whether or not to expell you........

I dont know the rules for other schools in other states. But at this district, a fight lands you a 3 days suspension then you get an expulsion hearing. If your 18 or over, you get arrested for assault.
