[Quiet Pagan]

Hello! I am new to this board! I found it today while searching for a group for pagan support! (I am not really a new pagan, but kind of refinding myself!)

My name is Quiet Pagan, because I came from a family of strong Christians and at a young age found that I was not Christian, I told my family and they were horrible in their reaction! So I have been keeping myself quiet since then.

I’m a closet pagan myself. My parents (both atheists) know and approve, but no-one else knows. I’m afraid a college professor might lower my grades if he knew, so I keep quiet about my beliefs.

It is very sad to feel as though you need to tone down your beliefs around family. I think I understand where you are coming from with this, although I never told my family about being pagan until recently. I felt I had to keep quiet about it or face their cruelty. Anyway I hope it works out for you, there's a great deal of support here at MW. :hugz:

I'm sorry to hear you're family's not supportive of your beliefs :wth:
I'm kind of in the same spot...not with my immediate family because they know and understand my paganism..and are even encouraging me in my pursuits..but my co-workers,friends,clients,etc...none of them know..oh,and my extended family doesn't know..they would definitely NOT understand.. :lol:
But, you will find friendship and support here..this is practically my home away from home..and full of so many wonderful,caring people.. :heartthro
