There was this spider dangling in the laundry room, and my mom was like "aaaaaaaa!" so I tried to catch it on a piece of paper, but it fell on the floor and I thought it was dead- but then it moved around so I scooped him up and was going to dump him out the window- but I dropped him from way too high up, and he hit the deck (literally) and he looked like a little spider murder victim laying there, and I was like "oh no. . . oops. . .poor little guy, I didn't mean to do that." 'Cause I didn't, you know? And then he moved a little, and I was like "He lives! Hey! He's moving! Fight for your life, little guy!" and he like scooted a little and then stopped. And I was like "noo. . . he died." and my mom was like "That means it's going to rain." and I'm like "it does?" and I thought "Hmm, he can't figure out if he's dead or not, so maybe it means just showers." And he was laying there, and I was like "noooo" and I blew really hard and he scooted again. Let's go see how he is now.

. . .

. . .

. . .

HE LIVES! But he seems very dazed. T_T poor spider. I'm sorry.

Spiders are supposed to be tough creatures. They'll live through a nuclear war.

Them and cockroaches...

Spiders have lovely minds, very organised. He might have been stunned and just needed to rest. I like them but my fmaily hates them so I protect all the spiders that find their way into our house.

I've seen more than a few spiders play dead after I've saved them...I think it's like Dragonsinger said: they need to regroup (and are probably hoping the big scary human will go away!)...

I'm not overly fond of the little fellows, but I do try to rescue them whenever I can...

If they are in my house *Squash*. I don't mind them so much but we have giant wolf spiders that could carry my poor puppy away (who is 45lbs) and I can't have that.

I'm a little jumpy of spiders, but I appreciate their labor in flower beds!

I do like to watch the Golden Garden Spiders on their webs in the summer - from a safe distance.

I love spiderwebs! Well. . . as long as they're outside. ^^; Hmm. . . I really do hope the little guy is alright. I try to put them outside when I can. Sometimes I can't, though, and SQUISH.
