Diffcult reading

Hello Friends

I am just learning how to read my Tarot cards. I was asked by a friend to read his furture but I got this feeling that he was just puting me on. That he just wanted to see if they are real are not. I read his reading but it did not turn out at all. I was wondering if it was me are him. Are if it was both. Please some one answer me so I can work on and fix the problem.

I find it's difficult to make a believer out of a skeptic. They could tell you, you are way off base....but, it may come to pass.

Sometimes you are so nervous, and "unconnected" that all you could read wouldn't make sense. Make sure you don't let skeptics distract your normal reading "state". Remain calm, and in that "divining" state. It's difficult enough reading for someone new. Don't let them psych you out. What type of question where they thinking about when they shuffled? Did he concentrate on the question or let his mind wander?

....then you always have the option to turn down a reading. You don't have to read for anyone that you feel doesn't REALLY want to know what the cards have to say. If he didn't really want to know, that would have affected the reading also.

If this individual is sincerely interested, then ask to read for him again sometime soon. Sometimes there are just things that we have to figure out for ourselves, so the Tarot will give a very garbled reading.

The words you wrote to me is very helpful. Thank you very much. I will try to read him again if I don't get the same feeling. The thing is that he said he use to practice,but got out of it because of his children. I still feel like he is holding something back. But I know it is none of my concern. Thank you again.

Hiya Crystal and Merry Meet!! Sounds like you were in a tricky situation with your friend..
I agree with Dagda and would say that you have to protect yourself while doing a reading..and always believe in yourself and your inner voice ~ did she/he tell you anything while you were doing the reading? Maybe you have to trust your instincts alittle bit more..especially when the reading is all muddled and you cant make much out of the placements of the cards and the spread.. just take a few deep breaths and listen deep inside you :)
Can I suggest also that maybe you ask your freind if he wants anything to come out.. this secret you think he is hiding ~ maybe you can sort it out with the Tarot.. or further with the Tarot once you know what it is.
