Stickies

Do you find the stickies and Portals to be really useful?

stickies are... dont really care so much about portals, but they're still nice to have i suppose. ^^;

i have found them to be very useful...makes it much easier looking up stuff.

Stickies are helpful. I don't think I've ever used a portal though. :)

Yup, I read 'em. Well, sometimes. I've read most of them by now I think...I like the portals too. So many threads, right there at my fingertips!! :colorful:

I use the New Posts button, and get to see everything that's new... Stickies and Portals are obsolete in New Posts-land...

I read stickies...not portals. (unless it's the JS one and I need one of the threads I put in there. :lol: ....or I'm updating it)

I do not use them much, but it's good for newbies to find the info without having to dig for it.

I agree that stickies are very useful for easy look-up of things you want to find...

I don't really go to either, but when I do, it's a sticky that I'm involved in.

However, I wish more folks would use the portals or at least check them out. Either that or start using their scroll buttons. It would save time having to go through repeated threads and going through threads posted in the wrong places. That's been happening wayyyyyyyy too much lately. (There ARE other forums besides Just Talk ya' know.) :D

It just takes a minute to either search the forums or scroll down the main page to see what other forum categories are there! If you're not sure what a thread is about, just hold your cursor over the title and boom--you've got the beginning of the text right there. It would also save time going through two or three threads about the same subject!!!

(Sorry, but this has been bothering me for a while now.)


To get back to the direct topic, the portals were created to help out and make your time at MW more enjoyable. I think part of the problem is that they are getting lost under the stickies. :huh:

If you think threads are in the wrong forum, please report it and suggest a forum that might suite it better.

Just Talk is the default forum. If you don't know where to put a thread, and there's no one around to ask, put it there.
