Okay...now we haven't really heard from the men out there. Perhaps we should then, discuss, mens issues. Since I'm not a man myself, i really don't want to delve into the sensitive topic of male verility. However, let me start by just creating A topic that men can respond to..and hopefully, it will break the ice.
Topic: Are there still so many misunderstandings about womens bodies, and their functions? I've always had to chuckle, when I mention a word like "ovum" and my hubby goes.."hngh??" Or when I happen to have "my time" and we get into an argument, and he "assumes" that I'm overreacting because of the time of month. Not to say that no man makes the effort to educate themselves about womens bodies and cycles. But, I'm sure there are some guys out there that still don't have a clue. So..if there are any questions ya'all have, or any funny stories you'd like to relate, or any "myths" your buddies told you growing up..whatever..we'd like to hear 'em!

Women have bodies? Egads, there is less hope for me than I had originally thought...
...I should have paid more attention to my Anatomy & Physiology professors, sheesh.

LOL...fine then..since YOUR the first man to pop into the forum in the while YOU come up with a topic relavant to fertility, birth control, womens or mens health issues..and stick it up on the board! LOL.
I don't know..I wouldn't have the slightest clue how to come up with a topic for men on the subject LOL.

Well, I have nothing constructive to add, unfortunately...
I'm just happy to see a forum dedicated to the only truth I have come to know about women...
...they are a mystery.

LOL EW!
Ok...maybe we should ask EW, since he's the only male posting so far......
What gets him in the mooooooooooooooddddddddd???? (umm....keep it clean as possible..lol).
Sometimes, working on making a baby, can seem like a chore for men (from what i've heard)..if the couple is following the ovulation chart, etc, etc, etc. I've heard some men complaining that it becomes a "Job" that way. So....as our "token" male (just kidding)...what are YOUR suggestions, for keeping it "NON rountine?".

You blessed little one. ;)

I am not confused about girls that much. Since I have spent my life hanging out with them I shouldn't be. I feel that that the confusion comes not because they are men, but because the mens friends pressure them to not know. And vice-versa. We are not much different we just reject that fact. And try to be what society has made them. The shovonistic man, and the shop til u drop woman. Why can't we just be human?

:) See...I was very human just then. Not too male, not too female. Both :)

I am afraid disagreement is in order on my part...
I feel men and women are very different in many magickal and wonderous ways aside from anatomy... and for that I am very thankful.
I also feel that it's not society which makes us who we are, but nature... society is powerless against nature's will, we just like to think it is by our own design (the great and powerful humans that we are)... but that is just my opinion, of course.
Being different and often times complimentary is what makes us an interesting, and welcome (for me) fit... after all, if I wanted a male for a mate then I would have one. I for one am glad there are other choices... those choices being women.

EP, but I still disagree. I meant we are not so different when it comes to a spiritual prescense. In the end we are both just souls, and we may be reincarnated to either men or women. And society no matter how much you reject does make you who you are. A follower or a rejecter, the people, us, our society. SO when we reject it, we are following but another collective. That sounds bad I know. But it is true. Society is the driving force of the world, and nature is what gives us a choice to either follow the worlds society or our own. It is a bunch of groups, society. Whatever you follow is up to you.:D

Sorry, here too I see things differently... nothing personal, just my way of thinkin'.
Spirituality, in my opinion, is not the same for men and women. Looking at it from the standpoint of reincarnation, I believe the experience is different for both sexes. Some believe we come back as the opposite sex to learn the trials and tribulation of that sex, but I do not think it stops there. I think we learn something in a spiritual sense that we did/could not as one gender.
And society no matter how much you reject does make you who you are. A follower or a rejecter, the people, us, our society. SO when we reject it, we are following but another collective. That sounds bad I know. But it is true.
True, from your point of view. It is more important to understand that we make society what it is, not the other way around. Again, I think it is nature that drives society and not vice versa. It is true that our will allows us to choose the path, but this has (essentially) nothing to do with society.
I can't say our choices are not influenced by society, because they very well can be, and often times are. But, I think all society stems from and is influenced by nature, drawing its conclusions, morals, and general thinking from instinct more than a made up consortium of ideals.
Society is the driving force of the world, and nature is what gives us a choice to either follow the worlds society or our own. It is a bunch of groups, society. Whatever you follow is up to you.:D
I'm of the mind that nature is the driving force... we create society, we choose to embrace it or ignore it. It is a very important part of our lives, but it is not the most important part.
You can live responsibly within society, draw from it's benefits while contributing your own to it, all without letting it effect who or what you are. It can change people, run their lives and create their being... but only if they allow it to do so.

That is very well said EW, how am I supposed to argue with that!8O JK. No I see your point. Everyone has their own opinions. The spirituality thing is what I feel it is now, since I am so young it can change at any time. I was just trying to state that when we do go to a higher state of concsiousness we are both just the same, niether male nor female. Just a soul in extreme understanding and happiness. Keep this going EW I enjoy debating with you:D

Well, this thread has strayed way off topic (just waiting for a hand slap from the mods now), but I will say this...
Just because I have certain thoughts about the subject, does not automatically make me right. Age and maturity is really not an issue here... what impresses me most is that you have your own opinion, that much more than you having the "right" opinion.
Don't give up on it just 'cause someone doesn't agree with you. You are free to change your mind, but make sure it is you changing your mind and not "society" ... (pun intended).
;)
~ew, hoping we can get back on topic but not volunteering to be the one to do so...

When my mom was growing up...my granny told her that having sex (or rather the woman's vagina) was called oolagah. (Which is also a town here in Oklahoma) Anyway, one day some guys asked my mom and her two sisters to go to the lake. They asked where? The guys replied, "Oolagah." My mom and her two sisters beat the crap out of my (future) uncles. Hehe.
I dont know if this relates very well...but it relates to misunderstanding which is what most guys do when it comes to a womans body and how a woman 'works.'

LOL...that is a GREAT story. LOL. Yep...it does bring up one point. How many of us, as children, had such well meaning adult figures in our lives who COMPLETELY Screwed up our ideas of sex? LOL. In Mols case, it was simply an odd terminology. But..I remember when I was a kid, SOMEHOW getting the idea that a woman got pregnant by a "Bug" crawling from the "Husbands" leg, up the "Wifes" leg. I'm sure my parents were TRYING To explain sperm to me...but...... i don't remember the exact conversation. I guess I was too traumatized by it. LOL. Anyway..my ideas of how "babies were made" got even more odd from there. My FRIEND told me, growing up, that when a man and a woman were in love, and wanted to get married, and make babies...that they would kiss. This kiss was a "Differen't kind of kiss" though, because the woman would nudge her leg between the guys leg, bent at the knee, and stand ONLY on one leg. I SWEAR to Goddess, this was almost EXACTLY her wording! LOL. So..naturally...I put two and two together. I figured out that when they were doing that wierd kissing thing, with the womans leg between the guys legs..that THAT was how the Bug got on the womans leg!

Before i knew (or even wondered) how babies got in there, i just assumed they just grew in ladies tummies cos it was natural.
But i did wonder how they got out! I'd asked what the belly button was for, and mum said it was something to do with having babies, so i decided they came out of the belly button. Well, it's in the right place!
Then my older sister told me the truth, that they come out of your bottom! Ouch!!!!! 8O

BTW, I knew where babies came from because the adults in my family told me at a young age. (And because of all of the younger cousins and siblings I have!)
