What is the theory behind sex magick?
Why use it? Is it because the creative force itself creates very powerful magick?
Because it's pleasurable magick? I've heard it's very strong magick.. Anyone got a clue?

Hmm... yes, sex magic can be very powerful. As I understand it, it draws energy/power not only from the creative forces, but from the Original Moment of Creation as well (sorry... I can't remember the source for that... must be the half-heimers :D ). It seems that, just as life is created through sex, so too can that sexually-generated energy be used to "create", or manifest, your wishes into reality.

Aparently (havent tried it meself ;-)), the sex is used as the magickal fuel- instead of chanting or drumming or trying to solve the rubix cube or whatever it is that u do to build up power, u have sex. I can see how that might work, as the energy is certianly acumulative here... certainly, as the ritual comes to a climax (pun intended hehe) that would be an excelent opertunity to "seal" the energy, to complete it. Although *how* they can focus on magick I just dont know....
Also, another theory is that if you are proficient in tantric sex (this has nothing to do with kama sutra, tantra is the art of halting climax in order to redirect the energy up the spine for kundalini release (if u dont know what that is, ask) having the benefit of being a natural contraceptive) then you really can use the sexual energy made to fire your goal. I heard someone say that he didnt like the idea of sex magick as he felt it would degrade a beautiful event if he knew that he was making love only to get a new car for example.. id tend to agree with him, sex isnt a tool for magick. It is (apart for obvious reasons :-)) for the exchanging of loving/worshipful energies from the partner and the balancing of the aspects of self as seen in yin/yang. Not to say that the partners must be oposite sex, as yin/yang is diferent types of energy that capture the diferent qualities.... hot/cold masculine feminie etc. And within masculine/feminine there are diferent ranges, eg sun/moon intelect/intuition etc etc. So you see, its prejudice to assume that all men have only male energy and vice versa for women, as all ppl are individuals and the yin/yang energy is only a reflection of their personality; it is the energetic interpretation of their character. This is why oposites atract. Goddess I do tend to babble on a bit....

ps, I hope I havent offended neone if I have then im veyr sorry i didnt mean to! And also note that apart from the observations on the nature of energy, particularly in relation to tantra and yin/yang balancing, the opinios ive given are just that-opinions. Everyone has them!

Best form of "sex magic" is actually kundulini energy that comes from the tantric practice. Kundulini yoga is a very powerful practice. This does not always require a partner. You move the energy through out your body....

My man and I practice it occasionally. Our feet heat up and our heads tingle....that is a good sign that you are doing it correctly when you have a partner.

id just like to tell everyone that kundalini experiences can be veyr dangerous, particularly if you are not ready for them. What it does is unleash cosmic force from the base chakra, whcih, when the path is clear, will go all the way to the crown chakra brinigng universal consiousnes in its wake. It does this by burnig its way through all emotional blockages (it is a fiery serpent) whcih can be physicly agonsing as wella s emotionaly traumatising... there are people who give up spiritual things completely for the rest of their lives because of the damage to the etheric body. It can also be a blisful experience! A proper experience is said to be better than sex ;-). Ive had a few mini experiences where I released a small amount of the force... ive got a blockage at my heart that just wont shift. Neway, soz to be mother goose but if i dont say it then noone will! Yeah, it would go to that bit and no further it would leak around the outside a bit whcih was extremely unpleasant :-(. After a bit of practice it would bypass the block and go to the base of my neck but it would always run out of steam. Iv stopped bcos its very dangerous... the block is at my heart bcos of unresolved emotional issues, I guess. Everyone has blocks otherwise they would aready be enlightened! My main block is at the heart, yeah

Kundalini magic/energy does not require a partner and it is not considered spell casting. However, when you use tantric and kundalini energy with your partner you already have - it can make it VERY intense. VERY pleasurable...

It cannot really be effective in drawing a mate to you like a spell. It can, However, make your aura and energy field attract people....
