MARS stationed retrograde at 29 degrees of Sagittarius on May 11, the same degree Chiron made it's retrograde station on April 7, and exactly opposite where Mercury will Retrograde on June 4.
On the brink of entering a new cycle of growth, represented by Capricorn, and as we begin the process of making more rules and laws, we get to take one last look at Sagittarius to make sure all the right ethics, morals, and legalities are being fully considered and explored.
Chiron retrograde can put us back in touch with healing left undone and endings that need to be defined. On a worldwide scale, it's the spread of diseases through the animals and the struggle to contain and stop the wounding. On a personal level, you may be reviewing your stand on marriage and having children. Due to all the retrograding, Mars and Chiron conjunct 3 times (May 1, May 29, and August 23).
