Be excited with me people! I just made my first snowman. X3;; It's guarding the pots and jars we're using to collect the snow for icecream stuff.

XD My mother made this snow thing her grandmother used to make with vanillia and sweet milk. It's SOOOOOO good! We're going insane trying to get tons of clean snow so we can make more. ^^

It snowed in Central Texas, too!

It looked like someone shook powdered sugar over all the trees this morning. It's beautiful! This hardly ever happens here. (It seems to be melting fast, so I'm going out to play now. See you later! :) )

I woke up to two inches of snow in Austin this morning. It's never snowed in the 6 years I've lived here. Pretty amazing. Was definitely thanking Lord and Lady for this experience.

It was great! If only it hadn't melted so fast, though. :( It was real snow, too, all soft and feathery...

Makes me remeber to appreciate how lucky I am to have the things that can irritate me. Its funny how you forget how much of a wonderful thing you have when you see it all the time. I think I'm going to spend some time outside enjoying the snow tommorrow.

Dang it! I have a cold and didn't feel like getting out in the snow today. I missed it. I had to go into town about 3 and there was still snow on the hilltops but gone in the valleys.. funny. I'm about 2 hours from you Hoot.

heh.... I'm a native Texan. I remember how much I LOVED it when it snowed in Houston the three times in 18 years it happened. I think it only stuck once... we used the snow from TWO front yards to make a snowman about a foot high...

Now I'm in Indiana for college, and there's still inches and inches of snow on the ground, and I remember when I used to like snow and be excited by it. Now I just want it to melt and be spring ;)

Yep, snow was sooooo neat in TX. In MN I learned very quickly to despise it. Here in FL it just rains!!!

RAIN. I love rain too, but for a week here before the snow, it rained. I drive 5 hours to and from jobs on M/W and I got pretty sick of driving in the rain by Thursday's end. Thursday I only drive 3 hours between jobs. ...:)
But yea the snow was nice. It's completely gone here.

Oooh! Oooh! I was in Florida for vacation once. The freaking rain is like clockwork! I was walking outside, the time struck two, and I wondered why suddenly everyone was running for cover. Then, as I was the only person still out in the open, *BAM!*, I was humiliated as a sudden downpour hit only me and everybody watched and laughed. For the rest of the day, people were recognizing me as "the girl who didn't have any sense". Ah, I love my life.

Here, too... except for a melting snowpile that used to be my silly-looking little snowman. I had fun in it yesterday - it reminded me of being a kid again! But I still remember how I got tired of months of it even then, and how long it takes to bundle up like a Michelin man (or the kid in Christmas Story) to go out, so I can see how a lot of people north of here are ready for spring.

I've never lived where it snows alot. Mississippi gulf coast. New Orleans, California coast.. Okinawa .. ya know it just doesn't snow there.
There is something magical about the way the landscape looks covered in a layer of pristine white snow. Stark and somber almost haunting, yet crisp and clean at the same time.
There are still bits and pieces of snow men here too. Although I didn't make one. I was too sick.

Hmm...well, living in MN I guess I don't appreciate the snow enough. You're welcome to all of it you want. *looks outside at snowcovered lawn and thermometer* I'm ready for spring!

my dad used to make it when it snowed when I was little. But it never snowed much. I just love ice cream... doesn't matter what kind... well yes it does.
