Energy Drain

I did a spell last night for a friend of mine who requested my help with a problem of his. After finishing chanting my wish I immediately began to cry and felt as if all my energy just escaped me. I was trying really hard to send it to him but did not expect it to affect me as strongly as it did. Out of curiosity has anyone experienced this before?

I think you sent all the energy to him successfully, so you felt drained and also received his feelings/sadness ~ and connected with him at that moment in time ~ and started to cry as he would.
Does that make sense?
Ive felt great joy and cried with laughter but not sadness.
Maybe with the New Moon tomorrow he can concetrate on growth and meditate on all the aspects of his life he would like to improve :) Ill be!

I think you are right Silver Venus. I believed I successfully sent my energy to him but I wasn't sure why it was so dramatic it made me cry. I never thought of it being his feelings coming over me... Thanks for your input!!!

Also I feel it was a successful spell because it came back at me in some good ways... A few weeks ago someone had stole my shoes from an amusement park (forcing me to walk out on gravel in barefeet!!!!!) and I was having some other bad luck going on. The day after the spell I got a message on my answering machine the amusement park had my shoes. Someone took them by mistake! I've also had some other good stuff start to happen... I think I like helping others! (Just thought I'd share my good luck story!!)

giving energy is not a difficult thing to do, but if you don't have a full understanding of how it works, how much you have, and how to give and take it correctly, you can end up with a drain you can't handle very well, and likewise, take too much and end up hurting the source.

if you are interested in energy related healing/giving/taking, i have about 13 years of experience, and am more than will to share it with anyone who needs the knowledge.

I have a similiar experience with energy drain. It follows this quote from Lucidia. My first ever ritual was a "demon banishing"(for lack of a better term) and I was sending tons of energy towards the other individuals in the circle...after the ritual was completed, I passed out and slept for 12 straight hours...rough rough ritual that I have to admit has marked me in both good and bad ways...

Anyway, Lucidia you said if anyone was interested in energy related healing/giving/taking you would be willing to share your knowledge. Well, I am interested...if you like could you send me a PM and we can talk...
