Howdy!!
I was wondering if anyone know any herbs for hair, because mine was bone dry and bad. Was. Til i heated up water, put some rosemary in it, let it soak in and cool. Then in my hair it went, and i let it air dry and poof! It was soft as can be. It also tasted nice (the rosemary water). Any other herbal hair stuff? I've got the urge to herbal.

These herbs can enhance the colour of your hair. Steep 1/2 cup of herbs in 1 cup boiling water for 20 mins or so. Strain. Wash hair as usual & apply the infusion to your hair & let sit about 10-15 mins. rinse with cool water.

Fair or blond hair - chamomile, calendula, lemon peel, mullein flowers.
Brown hair - Elderflowers, birch bark, cloves, cinnamon bark.
Black hair - indigo, sage, rosemary
Red hair - calendula, rose petals, beets, red hibiscus petals.
Grey hair - sage, elderflowers, lavender.

For hair problems, try these...

Dandruff - burdock, cleavers, peppermint, rosemary, sage, calendula, horsetail, elderflower.
Dry hair - comfrey root, burdock, marjoram, avacado.
Oily hair - lemon juice, strawberry leaves, clover, hops, lemongrass.
Dull hair - rose geranium leaves, nettle, hops, basil.
Promote healthy hair & growth - nettles, thyme, peppermint, rosemary, parsley, linden flowers.

A lot of commercial shampoos are mostly detergent & water. You can make your own shampoo quite easily.

4 ounces of castile soap (pure olive oil soap)
1 & 1/2 cup distilled water
1/2 cup of herbs of choice
1 tsp jojoba oil

Infuse herbs in boiled water for 30 mins. Strain out herbs. Grate the soap & melt in the infusion over low heat. Stir gently & don't let it boil. Once the soap has dissolved, add your jojoba oil & mix. If you want, you can add essential oils to complement your herb choice. Store in a clean bottle & shake before using. If you find the shampoo too thin, use less water...too thick, add more water.
