MM All,, while helping to clear out some boxes, awhile back, I came across a small metal statue,3 inches tall,, it's of a woman in long robes she's got one hand cupped out like when you offer something above her head and the other looked like she had been holding a possible wand, out away from her body, it's swirled,at the bottom of the hand but broke off above the hand.... she's got a head gear of a bird,, like a parrot,, the wings go around her head, like a crown, with the head of the bird on the crown of her head ,, but the top is open to the top of the womans head, with her hair hanging down back. I'm almost certain it's a goddress,,, but not sure of whom,, she's also got a roundish square necklace at her throat,,, theres not alot of detail to her because of her size. Not sure where it came from,, and the person I'd helped had no idea either... I've had it on my desk looking at it and thought I'd see if anyone might know whom it could be. :huddle:

Ah, a Goddess ... then it’s not what I was thinking. I was thinking of Horus, but he’s a God.

Might be Maeve, or even a Celtic Goddess. There were so many that used wands to heal or curse..... or just a statue trying to depict a sorceress.

Isn't the Eygptian goddess Nuit associated with birds?

Well, maybe she's a general ancient Mother goddess. I read this essay in which Marija Gimbutas suggests that the Mother goddess was associated with birds. It's an interesting essay.

Nuit/Nut is the goddess of the sky, so she could be associated with birds. Sounds to me like a statue of Aset/Isis, but I'd have to see it...
