Have any of you got siblings who are also pagan, or have any of you grown up with Paganism in the family (eg your parents are Pagan)?
My sister is Pagan and I have learnt a lot from her! She didn't actually admit to me that she was Pagan until I told her I was interested in Paganism and then she started telling me things. I suppose this thread is suitable for the Teen Pagan forum and the Family Pagan one, but I thought I would put it here to liven the place up a bit. :)
have you had any bad experiences with parents or siblings?

My younger sister has some real tendencies that are no doubt pagan, yet she also still has a strong pull towards our Christian roots. She has always had a stronger tie to God than did, as far as Christianity goes. I used to envy her that. Now I have found my place and I am glad she is discovering hers. I guess i am just grateful that she doesn't think I'm nuts! She is very tolorant and even interested in my path yet she has her own. I never try to persuade her to my side and vice versa.

There are no pagans in my family... that I know of...
No, really. All are practicing Catholics as far as my immediate family are concerned. I have not told any of them outright that I am a pagan. I don't really feel like making a declaration at a family dinner or anything like that! But I voice my opinions openly and don't try to necessarily hide the fact that I am.
I think the person in my family with whom I will be able to talk about it is my little sister. She's away at college, and so I don't get to talk to her very often. We're making plans to go to Salem in the spring, as she's never been there... I'm sure questions will be raised then; and I'll happily answer them!

Sorry, I kinda went off there a little! :)

Though my parents have never used the word "pagan" about themselves, my whole upbringing has been the foundation of my pagan belief. I was taught about herbs and nature, especially by my mother and to respect animals. My dad taught me how to use a knife and build shelters in the forest and those sort of practical things. At Yule we made riceporidge and set it in the attic for the house gnome.

So although Pagan was not a used term in my family, I do feel that my family was pagan.

ooh good topic! My family is catholic. My mother is very devout, but my father never attended church. I have wonderful memories of midnight mass on Christmas eve and my own special days such as when I had my First communion and such. I was always really attracted to the parts the catholic religion that were most pagan, such as the holidays and the "pantheon" of saints.

Of the six living children my parents had, I would say I am the most spiritual, though a few still consider themselves catholic because they attend mass on holidays and baptize their children. One older sister in particular is interested in alternative religion, but she is more into new age stuff.
