Have commercials ever been so weird? I just saw one for Hanes or something whose tagline was, "There's something oddly reassuring about thin, worn-out cotton underwear with little yellow flowers."

Well, I'm pretty sure the weirdest (and the funniest!!) commercial I've seen so far is by Volkswagen:

Two men are standing under a tree. One man picks up a stick or something and throws it into the tree. The other man picks up a rock and hurls it into the branches as well. The first man takes off his shoe, and grunting as he does so, hurls it into the tree, whereby there is a creak and groan and a Volkswagen Jetta falls out of the tree!!! The second guy turns to the first and says "Next time, take it easier on the clutch."

My current fave is the one for mountain dew where the guy butts heads with a mountain goat over mountain dew. After successfully fighting the goat and getting his dew back his friends ask how he feels and he says "not baaaaaad" then stumbles off. It makes me crack up everytime :)

Can't think of a weird one at the moment, but the most irritating one has got to be the one where this horrible little brat stomps into the kitchen and sits at the table, picks up his knife and fork, bangs the handles on the table and demands 'FEED ME' to his mum, who looks at him with adoring eyes and a stupid wimpering smile.................AARRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i haven't seen that one, might not have gotten across the pond but i'd likely feed the little monster a knuckle sandwich to teach him table manners.

where this guy was on the side of the road cause his car broke down and then this man was eating some weird health bar, I forgot what it was called. SO I will call it ZAP! well anywayz this man runs up to the guy, and talks to him in like mumbles cause you can not here what they are saying. Well anywayz the guy goes to the Portopotty and the man with the ZAP is lookin at the car, then he goes over and touches the back. And the car falls off a cliff! It is so funny, I think it was foriegn though. It ends with the guy runnin away, and a logo saying "ZAP, it will make you stronger than ever" It was so hilarious!8O 8O 8O

Foreign commercials are great! I saw one for Cosmo, from France, on some HBO show, it just showed a window and these ping-pong balls flying out. The tagline? "Learn to exercise muscles you didn't know you had.."
