This will probably sound very inferior to everybody else's current problems, so I'm only asking for a little bit of help.

I was at the New Age Shop down a little ways from where I live yesterday. If you don't already know, I've been looking for a job in practically forever. Well, yesterday I asked the register lady if they had any openings. She said she wasn't sure, but that the owner comes in on Wednesdays and I could ask him/her. I was given a calling card and the statement of, "It's quite possible that you could get a job here if there's an opening."

So, I politely ask if you could give me a bit of luck. Of course, don't waste all of your energies on me. Make sure everyone else is taken care of first. ;)

As of right now, I'm wondering if I should call. I have until 8 tonight. I have the sniffles right now and will probably sound really weird.

To call or to call later? That is the question.

*semi-defeated sigh* I just called and asked to talk to the owner, and the lady told me she was only in from 10 to 4. You know what time I called? 4:30! Bah!

Now I have to wait until next Wednesday...

At least they haven't blown me off yet, right? ;)

Long story, but the shop was owned by my hubby and his business partner. It wasn't long before they were partners in bed as well. I quit working there, and ended up kicking him to the curb when he wouldn't end the affair. *sigh*

Update:

Guess who didn't get the job. :grrrrr:

It's alright though, I guess. I didn't exactly try my very best (which I would have, but I got sick). The only thing that irks me is I never get hired for ANYTHING. And even that I can understand if the ones filling the positions were good. I hate to sound conceited, but I know I'm way better than some of the people who got jobs I wanted instead of me. They're disrespectful, irresponsible, pig-headed, lazy, rude, thoughtless, drug users who don't care one way or another if they're fired (yet the never do get fired). That, in my mind, isn't the fair part. If they could just give me a chance...

In my eyes, everything happens for a reason. In other words, there's a far better job out there for Klucky. *shakes hand in an icky manner* I don't need that petty little place or any of the others I had previously gone after. :) Klucky's just too good for those places.
