I've been skimming through the site as much as work allows. I see a lot of great links to information. I'm wondering if there is a thread that lists sites to buy supplies. More importantly, are there sites that should be avoided?

There is probably a thread and I am just missing it.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks!

are you strictly speaking of wicca?

although it is always best to create your own because then they are infused with your energy and have more meaning to you...

there are great packages on ebay...here is a link to a decent one...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2990314862&category=1523

you can search more on ebay for herbs and such...

I am not speaking of a specific area of the craft. I'm looking for general supplies (candle snuffers to bells to altercloths to books to tarot decks etc etc etc.

I've purchased a few items from azuregreen.us and have been happy so far. I am just wondering if there are other good sites out there. I like to purchase books from a pagan site when I can, even if it costs me a little more.

I can't go to ebay while at work so I'll check out your link later this evening. Thanks!

I have been surprised lately by the odd places I keep finding wonderful altar/craft supplies....like the drug stores for candle snuffers. I found a beautiful one in Long Drugs of all places. Any fabric store will do for altar cloths, if you can sew a hem or iron on some StitchWitch. Check out local flea markets too, I've found great things in those also...and don't forget garage sales! Tarot cards....most book stores seem to be carrying those now. Books, our local books stores carry a few, mainly the most 'popular' authors....used book stores are certainly great! Health food stores too.

Do you just want to strictly shop online?

I am willing to shop both off and online. However, I like to support pagan/witchcraft stores as much as possible, so I look there first.

We had a few great threads on this topic in Magic and Rituals a while ago but I can't find them :(

If want to support pagan artists and crafters, MW's very own Pagan Public Marketplace forum is a good place to start. The following sites will help you support all of us starving pagan artists and crafters:

This is a wonderful site: Support Pagan Artists (http://www.supportpaganartists.com)

I have a few more on the links page of my site: Oy! My Goddess! Creations (http://www.oymygoddess.com/page4.htm)

you'll also get a pop-up for my Top 100 Daughters of the Goddess site

Here is another great auction site which is a bit easier to navigate than e-bay and you know that the sellers are all pagan. I'm not so sure about e-bay sometimes.....:

Auction Witch (http://www.auctionwitch.com)

and here's a new one, where the fees collected are donated to charities:

Mystic Wicks has a dedicated Links section (http://www.mysticwicks.com/links.php). It includes shopping links (http://www.mysticwicks.com/links.php?s=&catid=16).

I find my stuff everywhere, Goodwill, auctions, yard sales, etc. Why not trade for your tools? I would be willing to make some for you, I do wands. Maybe others would be willing to pitch in, too?

I find my stuff everywhere, Goodwill, auctions, yard sales, etc.
Today, i found a copper caldron for .50 cents at a yard sale!
It stands about 4 1/2 inches tall & 5inchs around.
The lid has a little handle on top & handles on the sides.
and there are small holes in the top of the lid for smoke to escape.
I'm thrilled!

Why not trade for your tools?
i'm making blessing bowls and a few other things to trade with, if you'd like to trade for crystals, herbs, books, & other witchy things.
Also, I'm looking for any old pagan catalogs or magazines.

Give me a holler!
