I got my learner's permit!

Eeeee! I never thought I'd get it, but I go it. I R so happy.

What makes me so happy though is that I know there will be a couple people that will be very proud of me.... It's a big deal for me to get my driving permit 'cause I've got a huge fear of driving (it's bad enough being a passenger...) and this is the first huge step towards independence I've taken.

It a lso feels great to have a valid ID on me again. My ID card expired in June last year, and I know it's illegal to have an expired ID card, but I just couldn't afford to go get a new one. Now I'm all sortsa legal!

Congrats.. Now YOU get to terrorize all thos ewho did the same to you, simply by inviting them to ride with you... you can say things like..."Oh, does the brake pedal ALWAYS go to the floor?"and things like that..

Good for you! I get my license in May. I could have had it in this month, but I waited two months until my mom forced me. I, too, was very scared. Not really about myself, I knew I'd be a fair driver. But, I was terrified of the other jugheads on the road. :)

I got so nervous the first time I took my written permit test that I failed it within two minutes. The next time around (after running into the same registration people who remembered me :bigredblu ) I passed with flying colours, although I had taken almost an hour.

I hope you enjoy it! Do you have a car yet? I do, but it's so terrible that I know it's going to blow up within the week...with me in it. Regardless, it was free, so I shouldn't complain. :)

I was really scared of driving too... trust me, it does get better!

Especially once the sense of independence sinks in! It was the realization that if I wanted to go somewhere, I could just get up and go that really helped me overcome my fear.
