Allright, for my "Magic, Mystery & Witchcraft in the Old Ages" class, I need to do either a "creative project" or to write a 5 page paper about anything we learned in class... Being the creative person that I am, I decided I'm gonna make a big painting that has to do with what we learned in class...
Now we're only learning about witchcraft & Magic in acient Greece & Rome, and I decided to do something that has to do with Hecate since she's sort of my Patroness' equal in the Greek Mythology - Both dark Goddesses, Patronesses of witches, the night, death, they are crones, etc.

What I need is any information about old temples dedicated to Hecate, rituals dedicated to her, famous myths - Anything that I could include in a big painting (I'm thinking of a collage painting, meaning - I'll paint her as a dark Goddess in the middle, and around her all sorts of temples, myths she's involved with, common rituals done especially for her in the old ages, etc)...

Can anyone help me with this one?

if you're interested in Her Greek aspect, then i would abandon the 'Crone' concept altogether. She was never depicted as anything but a young woman by the Greeks, and was very closely associated with Artemis

here's an interesting site on the excavations taking place at Lagina, one of the only centers of Hekate worship that we have any true archeological evidence of...
