People sing "Happy Birthday" to me and I blow out the candles on a cake.. They also give me presents... :lol:
As far as *ritual* ritual... Nope. I do try to make a point to do something with my mother though. She's the reason I'm having a birthday in the first place...

Not a birthday ritual, but I do have a yule ritual...I put fresh, crisp sheets on the bed, have a long hot bath, get into my favourite nightgown, curl up in it with a hot cup of my favourite tea, and try to recapture that lovely excited feeling I had as a child about xmas...

Much easier this one past, as my little boy's first yule gifts were wrapped, and piled up at the foot of the bed :)

I do a little 'me' ritual to honor and celebrate myself. I love my birthday (January 12th. I don't know why - it just always has struck me as a neat day. Maybe becaus I was born on it! :D )

Anyway, I make some special tea (usually Joy by Tazo. It only comes out around the holiday season, and I buy some to keep for special occassions during the rest of the year), play some music that I particularly am attuned to, and meditate in front of an altar full of images of my own symbology (apples, sunflowers, stars, cinnamon, wolves, and serpents figure prominently).

Then I do whatever I feel like for the rest of the day!

i usually wake up late.... get TONS of phone calls from people..... go out with my friends for a special dinner or to a club.... the next day i have a special dinner with my family (my mother cooks my fave meal)... sometimes I get money or books (this year its MADONNA CONCERT TICKETS BABY!)...

I always get a cake..

I like my birth date... Its cute - March 28th, 1982..
