I think that this could have the ability to appeal to many, if not all.....

Goddess Psalm

The Earth is my Mother
I shall not want.
She holds me as I lie in green pastures.
She teaches me beside her calm waters.
She reincarnates my soul.
She guides me in the paths of her wisdom for my sake.
Yay, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I shall fear no evil
For she reincarnates me.
Her peace and her kindness, they comfort me.
She prepares evidence of her presence all around me in
the presence of mine enemies:
She anoints my head with wisdom
My cup of joy runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my lives,
and I shall dwell in her presence forever.

This is the version I have, and it was written by Karen Dzubur

The Earth is my mother
I shall not want.
Her hand brings forth green pastures.
She tarries within the still waters.
She sustains my body.
She leads me in fields of fruitfulness
for my Glory.
Yea, as I walk through the Summer of life
unto death,
I will not be afraid,
for You are with me.
Your womb in the earth
will enfold me.
You prepare a harvest before me,
and bless my home with children.
You fill me with milk and honey.
My cup overflows.
Surely, goodness and beauty will nurtur me
all the days of my life,
and I will become part of the earth
forever.

Here's my version:

The Earth is my Mother
I shall not want.
She embraces me in Her green pastures
She enfolds me in the still waters of her womb.
In Her, I am reborn.
She guides me with Her gentle wisdom
For Hers are the mysteries of life and death.
Eve as I descend ever into Her depths,
I shall not fear the darkness,
For She is in me, with me, and all around me.
She is my light, my guide,
My soul and my deliverer.

She is the wheat field that sustains me.
She is the gurgling stream that washes me clean.
She kisses me with dew underneath the moon.
Her annointings mark my soul forever;
My cup of joy overflows.

Surely the Lady of Love and Light
Will carry me all the days of my life,
And when my time is come to return to the ground,
I shall dwell nestled against Her bosom forever.

Those were all great. I remember reading a Pagan Psalm before.

I found another verison
Witches' Psalm
The Goddess is my Mother, I shall not have need.
She asks that I lie down in moon light pastures,
She leads me to the twilight's gleam.
She restores my soul.
The God guides my path of self knowledge in the All's
ever glowing knowledge.
Yea though I will walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear not the Crone
for she comforts and guides me to my new home.
I fear no evil, for evil is only misunderstood energy.
The Goddess's Wand and broom
guide me every step I take.
She prepares a table for me, next to her.
My enemies are only misunderstood friends,
I should not fear.
I will anoint my forehead with blessed oil,
for I am kissed there by the Goddess.
My life truly overflows with love,
because I understand religion is in your heart,
not in a temple.
Surely Goodness will follow me all the days of my life,
and I dwell in the forest of the Lord and Lady forever.

Hi, my name is Karen Dubur, and I was browsing some web sites when I happened upon your site and to my utter delight and amazement, I saw one of my old poems posted here! It is The Lady's Poem:

The Earth is my Mother
I shall not want.
Her hand brings forth the green pastures.
She tarries within the still waters.
She sustains my body.
She leads me in fields of fruitfulness
for my Glory.
Yea, as I walk through the summer of life unto death,
I will not be afraid
for you are with me.
Your womb in the earth will enfold me.
You prepare a harvest before me
and bless my home with children.
You fill me with milk and honey.
My cup overflows.
Surely goodmess and beauty will nurture me
All the days of my life,
and I will become a part of the earth
forever.

I wrote this many years ago and was very moved to see it here.

I wrote this with it:

OUr Mother
who lives among us
hallowed be your name.
Your guidance come
your will be done
on Earth forevermore.
Give us this day our daily bread
and all the bounty you offer
in earthly pleasures.
Lead us with your wisdom
and deliver us from harm.
For you are the giver of birth,
life, and death
to all things.
Be it so.

Gaia's blessings to you all.
