I've been doing looking on line.. and a few other places. I'm looking for good spreads that people like to use... like recommend and all. I know the celtic cross and the three card past-present-future.
Others?
I'd love to find some on relationships as well as weither or not someone is being honest. (no... not for the same situation... lol)
Thanks!!!

I find it best to pull cars appropriate to whatever situation you're in. More relevant that way.
I.e. "a card for my sick cat charlie", "a card for my work life"

I like to just lay down the cards as they tell me to. When I use an actual spread though, I prefer the celtic cross, horseshoe, three card, and the one card pull. :)

If you're in the mood for a book about spreads, Teresa Michelsen's Designing Your Own Tarot Spreads (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0738702633/qid=1079276942/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-7064423-7349704?v=glance&s=books) is a good one.... :)

I usually do a 5 card spread--the first card is the present or immediate situation in question, the next two cards are likely influences on the situation or extenuating circumstances involved with the situation, and the last two cards are the most probable outcome or conclusion to the situation. I find that this works well as a daily spread (what sort of day am I going to have?) or for any question that you are looking for a fairly immediate resolution for--within the next 3 to 5 days usually. For something more extensive, or far reaching, I do occasionally do a Celtic Cross. I'm a firm believer of the "it fell in my lap so I need to pay attention now" approach. Any card (or cards) that drop out of the deck while I shuffling I always take note of because they are usually something that needs my immediate attention.

I just wanted to thank everyone again.. the links are really helping... I'm just having trouble finding a general spread. I'm trying to do more than one a day. I'm doing a daily three card Physical, Mental, and Spiritual moods of the day. But I don't always have a question, but want the practice. Ideas?

Falcon, in the link at the top that someone mentioned: Tarot Spreads and Course Links, there is a series of readings based on the major arcana of the tarot (The Magician, The Hermit...). These readings do have a focus, but don't require a question. Those are the ones I prefer to practice with.

My favorite spread to use with both tarot and runes is this:
1) The current situation
2) Waning influences
3) Hidden influences
4) Emerging influences
5) The whole picture
I also like this one:
EAST = spirit voices, guidance (the thoughts and ideas that are foremost in your mind).
SOUTH = transformation, change, courage (what is in your heart, the reason you make the choices you do)
WEST = intuition, cleansing, introspection (relationships - with self - with partner - with family)
NORTH = foundations, beginnings, stability (the outcome)
CENTER = wholeness (You in the middle of all this)

I actually found one that worked quite well for a questionless reading... found it on tarotspreads.com the Annikin Bridge. Thanks for the links and advise!
