I wanted to share this article, because I thought it was a really good explination of what differentiates CR from your general pagan, as well as explain where they are similar. I found it to be very well written and easy to understand. The author, Erynn is generally accepted to be an elder in the CR community, and is very active in the public sphere.

I posted it here, because I figure even though it's a Druid forum, it's also where the majority of us CRs hang out to get solid information on the various Celtic paths as oppossed to the other boards at MW.

Good article. Turning on theoption to read other people's comments is also instructive.

I agree with the basic premise that generic Wicca is often incorrectly taken as equivalent to 'universal Paganism' and have seen this situation play out several times.

I also spent some time wondering how much of what she describes as 'Scottish/Irish CR' applies to my own practice and, not unsurprisingly, found some of it did and some of it didn't.

I really empathized with the 'four elements are not crucial to Paganism' insight. Its certainly not the first model I would teach anyone.

:graduate: Right on! And well it should be that way. That is a major part of my Path actually, to try to bring the old and the new together. And only through mutual sharing can that happen, aye?

Awesome article also BTW!
