Way back, when I had first started travelling the country with renaissance faire's, I met this girl who taught me the ropes of living without running water, electricity, indoor plumbing (you get the idea). She also helped me get away from my abusive husband at the time and taught me how to enjoy my own company so that I could nurture and love myself.
I lost touch with her in 1997. This past September, I had a very vivid dream with her in it (her name is Inger). So I did a search on the internet and found her e-mail address!
This has been the most wonderful 6 months! We talk on the phone for hours nearly every day! (She lives in Denver, I live in Wisconsin)
She just sent me a picture of herself, and I wanted to share it with all of my cyber pals here at MW...
I hope I can do this right...

I'll never lose her EVER again! I feel complete again. I don't connect with people (women mostly) very easily, and she helps me feel and be 'girly'. Thanks all! And Blessings!

Isn't it awesome? Now...because I've always mirrored her look I've done my hair in Manis Panic Vampire Red. Wish I had a working digital camera too...:(

I used Manic Panic at one point but it was purple, but i found i had to dye it all the time to keep the vibrant colour, and i gave up! It's now a blue/black colour

Trick that Inger taught me...apply the color and then leave it on as long as possible. Sleep with it on if you can. It stays in much, much longer this way. About 3 weeks between applications!

yep, i heard & done that! :) the woman in the shop told me to, i left it on ALL day! till it was stiff dry  ... apparently there are no harmful chemicals in it like other hair-dyes and so it won't damage it, but it was still hard to keep it vibrant!
I like to dye it and forget about it for ages  Plus at the time money wasn't very good :( maybe i will try it again one day, i'll let you know if i do :)

I'm so happy you two found each other! :huddle:

(And I'm also mildly impressed and a little freaked out that your avatar is one I made for kewlhippiechick and it matches your hair too! :hairraise )

Funny how that happened, huh? Actually, I set up her account from my 'puter. I gave her the pink haired Dawn BECAUSE they both have the same hair color!
Thanks again, Dex!

Hi there....just thought I'd pop in with my 2 cents...I have found something better than Manic panic (by far!) try a dye called "Special effects" you'll never go back. the application is the same but the color last forever (and pink can be hard to hold onto!)
good luck and let me know what happens

blessing!
