Personally I don't think one deck is any harder than the rest. All that matters is what feels right for you. If it does, then by all means you chose the right deck!

Hi Mist,
....don't you have to have a full deck? I thought you said your sis lost like....25 of the cards....??
My suggestion to you would be when you are trying to read a card, get into the character of the card. What are they feeling, what are they doing, what are the thinking, how did they get to that point, and where are they going? That will be your greatest insight. Listen to the thoughts running though your head when you are looking at the cards, even it the thoughts seem trivial! :D
As long as you click with the pictures I'm sure you will do GREAT!

I think they disappear briefly for a reason....don't know what it is....but something! ....like make you appreciate them, treasure them, and respect them all the more....! ;)
Glad you found them!

The tiny booklet that comes with it is mysterious-reading as well.
Meditate on the cards... that is, the pictures and symbols and feelings they convey. Your intuition is a good place to start.
Lay out the cards in whichever sort of pattern you have learned, and SEE the story, hear it, feel it, smell it. Let your imagination give you glimpses of the continuity. Don't overwhelm yourself - Practice in small doses.
A divinatory tool ? Yes !
A doorway to higher levels of understanding? More so !!

I just bought the Arthurian deck. I am confused about it... there are no pentacles or wands. There are shields and staffs(?) im assuming while using my tarot book i can substitute the staffs for wands and the shields for pentacles.... im not sure... i did my first reading on Saturday. It took 20 minutes because i had to look up EVERYTHING. Is this something I will get better at with practice?

Hiya Scorpio! Merry, Merry Meet :)
Your totally right about the wands/staffs and pentacles/shields!
The Arthurian deck is wonderful for learning with, just try to go with the flow of the deck a little more and trust what the card is saying to you (aswell as the book if you like, but dont rely on the book) then your readings will really get interesting :D
20 minutes sounds fine to me ~ sometimes I rabble on for hours ;) and its so great youve experienced your first reading..now I bet theres no stopping you!
Wise words Tarot Collector
