Could someone take a look at this reading, and give me your thoughts on it?
I'll tell ya why later.
There was no question asked, and this is the description of the spread's meaning:
Is your view of your self a true one. Aeonx's Star can reviled some of your hidden sides and show you the path way to truth.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Hi 13 - I don't normally use a Significator card - but I'll comment on that postion anyway..
Significator: Of your own choice pick a card at random from the deck and make it your significator, or choose it your self, before picking the rest of the cards.
Queen of Wands (picked randomly) -
This Queen is very ambitious - and hard worker - she is warm and caring - and likes to be the center of attention - sometimes people around her may find it hard to get time with her because she keeps herself so busy - can you see any of these qualities or traits in yourself?
Card 1: The way you see your self
The Fool - It seems you see yourself as a person who likes to explore; you seem to think of yourself as a risk taker and someone who is ready to start new endeavors in your life.
Card 2: The things you do not see about your self
7 of Cups - However, it seems like you have had a lot of emotional issues in the past that you've never truly gotten over - you may have just swept some of your feelings under the rug and never really dealt with some of the issues.
Card 3+4: The Root of the problem(s)
High Priestess & 2 of Wands - The root of the problem may stem from the fact that you ask for advise a lot but you don't realize when your getting the best advise - often you may disregard this advise you go with your gut which may create more problems for yourself
Card 5+6: Key - what to do about it
Princess of Swords & 6 of Cups - You need to understand that you should always try and handle your problems peacefully at first - you don't always have to resort to war as your first reaction - you also need to learn how to laugh at yourself - half the fun of joking around is being able to laugh at yourself -
Card 7: Expected outcome
7 of Swords - By learning who you really are you will come to understand that the obvious decisions and choices are not always the best choices - sometimes you need to take time to consider the possibilities that are not so obvious - and ultimately learn how to turn disadvantages into advantages.
Hope this helps

Thanks Astara.
By looking at this spread, would you think I needed professional help?
I've never posted in the "your readings" section at aeclectic before. But I did with this spread and someone who commented on it said that. It just un-nerved me.

I wouldn't think you needed professional help - I think you can divine your way to the truth for now - as long as your open and honest with yourself.
Blessings

I know Astara already did a great reading here, but I interpreted mine a bit differently. Hope I'm not stepping on your toes, Astara, I think you're a much more experienced reader than I am. But here's a slightly different take. (For reference, I used the Tarot of Dürer, mostly because I've not yet read with it)
Significator: Like Astara said, this Queen is warm and energetic, sincere: an achiever. She is probably in a place where she has to take care of others, but sometimes she's too busy to give them the attention they need.
(1)You see yourself as being at the start of a grand adventure. You're packing up and moving on, in a manner of speaking, taking new steps in your life. But you're a bit trepidacious about the outcome. You are in some ways leaving your known world behind. (2) Right now you can visualize your future, but there are so many choices... how can you acieve what you want? I see in this card confusion, and a scattering of energies... you may not realize how unfocused you really are when you focus on too many things at once. (in this deck, the seven chalices hold the deadly sins) Together, these cards warn you that you can't just start out on this journey without having some idea of the route you want to take. Figure out what you really want, then fllow that dream (but don't be afraid of those side routes, either.)
(3) A side note about what one of my books says about the HPS' effect on a spread overall, I think it may apply here: The situation has much deeper implications than you may know... it affects the development of your psyche and soul. That aside, the high priestess indicates the need to use your intuition to deal with individuals in the best way: relating to each person in your life in the best way for them to be able to understand you. (4) You're faced with choices, and part of the problem here is that you're dividing your energy two ways. Right now there is a compromise, but to move forward, a decision must be made (which does not mean that one needs to be left behind... there may be a third road altogether). The best way to make that decision, it seems, is to communicate with those involved, and with your deepest self.
(5) I'm reminded of the book The Four Agreements... be impeccable with your word, and say only what you mean, it is too easy to hurt people (refer back to the High Priestess, again a focus on Right Speaking). You are strong and brave, and can mantain order in your life. (6) Remember, you have proven before that you can manage your problems and make things work. This deck shows a child being baptised... I think this is a good sign: bestow your energy on the new things you're creating rather than dwelling in the past.
(7) It's possible that the outcome would only be you running away from your problems. But you are cunning and intelligent... and with planning and creative problem solving you will be able to get what you want. You may still fear getting what you want openly, though, and pursue it by stealth. Is it something that would have been freely given, had you asked?

And nothing about the spread screams professional help to me, either.

mudweed - I would never feel like someone is stepping on my toes by offering alternative views on a spread - I feel that tarot is a never ending journey and learning experience - and I keep an open mind to expand my views on each card.

Thanks, Astara, that was just me being insecure about reading in public, probably (and I hate being wrong! )... I am constantly learning more about the Tarot, and am inspired by your and others' readings. :)

13th (your name never lends itself well to shortening :) )
I just came from aeclectic, and saw the interpretation you were talking about. Weird! It's so interesting to see how no single interpretation is the same, though.
