Whoo Hoo!!
Raevyn you're just a few days older than I am... :D I turned 29 on the 17th. Happy belated B-Day to us cancers and any leos celebrating theirs in the last few days or soonto come!!
BTW, Mist you DO NOT look so young! I agree that you probably do have an old soul....:) And I LOVE that avatar!!!:D :D :D :D
Besides ... age is only relative on this plane... it matters not in any other plane of existence. You are as young as you feel, not as old as you look.....hee hee. (giggling as I count the ever growing number of silvery hairs that have threaded themselves into the locks of hair growing from my temples)

Typical Librans are just, romantic, indecisive, humanitarians, aristocratic, very social, lovers of the arts....beauty, sesuality...all of that.
Ruled mostly by what they head tells them...they are usually well spoken, and because ruled by air signs, typically are intelligent. Loves to start new projects but never finishes any of them.
Can be either very lazy or very energetic....depending. Are always fighting between extremes...never really finding middle ground.
They are either really this, or really that. Happy mediums are rare with Libras...though they do try hard to find it.
Librans love love, and can be extremely flirtatious....though desperately loyal when true love is found. When true love isn't found...watch out, the Libra is not going to settle down without love. And, the Libra is the sign most likely to use marriage licenses as wall paper (sigh).
Libras are supposed to be the most favorable, and yes...attractive sign of the zodiac... Hey...I don't know too many Librans, so uh...I'll get back to you. Typically seen with dimples on some part of their body. I have them on my knees...lol.
Most are well mannered and well tempered...loving a good debate but hating conflict. A Libra will often walk away from an argument, even if they see themself as right...
A love for manners and fancy speech, and indeed fancy dress...often leave the typical Libra seeming somewhat regal. They some may percieve it as acting "high and mighty"...or even "holier than thou".. But the Libra sees the best in people and hopes they see the best in them too.
Flightly has been used to describe many a Libra. In actuality...it is hard to get ones attention...and then even harder to keep it.
Anything rich and luxurious does catche their attention...they are known to be a bit materialistic, but not greedy.
And, as Swannie often says....Libras - an iron fist, with a velvet glove. :D
That's me in a nutshell....with some Virgo traits thrown in....
(i.e. A perfectionist trait, and a love for order and schedules...often quite chatty...hmm...I don't know too much else about Virgos...so I'll leave it at that.)

Me, I'll be 40 in October, but have been claiming 40 since Jan.
I LOVE IT!
I got the BEST compliment at softball practice last Sunday. After chasing down a ball a team member who is 27 asked if I minded if she asked my age. I said of course not and told her. She told me she wanted me to come to her office some day. "Why" I asked. Turns out she wanted me to meet some of the women in her office who had been telling her to enjoy life now cause when she hit 30 it all went down hill. I asked how old these women were and she said 32! Said she wanted to be like me and still play ball and such when she got older.
I told her not to worry. They're problem was that when they hit 30 they sat down and forgot to get up!:D

i don't know about people like your friend described, i can remember a very long time ago people used to tell me "30 was over the hill", i got there and looked around and i didn't see any hill. then they told me 40 was over the hill, been there, still no hill, and then 50 was over the hill. been there too, no hill anywheres in sight. 60 was supposed to be over the hill, well i got past that, now i'm halfway to 70 and i think i've just begun to hit the upgrade but i still haven't gone over that hill they all talk about.

And, as ever, I remain the youngest person to own up to their age. 13 going on many thousands of years. B-day is 30 September. Next youngest person to post here so far is tainted echoes, at 13 with a birthday of September the 8th.
And I never act my age, isn't that fun? Although sometimes I feel waaaay older than I am...as well as being such a typical Libra (except for the fact that Libras are supposed to be diplomatic and tactful, neither of which I am, although I have my moments)

Okay, the biggest question I have (non age info close eyes...) is the "throws cat over shoulder". What is that? Why is that? Goddess help me but I cannot understand the Cat-over-the- shoulder deal.
I understand cat in the hat...and cat on a mat, but cat over shoulder doesn't compute... Is it my age? Did I miss the movie? Is it something from Scooby? I don't know what it is but please make it your business to tell me before I sound like more bad Dr. Seuss imitations.

Greetings All!
Well, I've already confessed to being 47 a few posts back, but I thought I'd share with you parts of an e-mail that was just forwarded to me by my sister while we're on the subject of age. Perhaps this would be more apropriate to the 'Just Silly' listings, but I hope you get a chuckle out of it!
THE PERKS OF BEING OVER 40:
1.) Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
2.) No one expects you to run - ANYWHERE!
3.) People call at 9 PM and ask, "Did I wake you?"
4.) There is nothing left to learn the hard way.
5.) Things you buy now won't wear out.
6.) You can live without sex, but not without glasses.
7.) You have a party and the neighbors don't even know it.
8.) You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
9.) You quit trying to hold your stomach in, no matter WHO walks into the room!
10.) You sing along with elevator music.
11.) Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.
12.) Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.
13.) Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either!
14.) Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size.
15.) You can't remember who sent you this list.
PART 2: SIGNS OF MENOPAUSE
1.) You sell your home heating system at a yard sale.
2.) Your husband jokes that instead of buying a wood stove, he is using you to heat the family room this winter. Rather than saying you are not amused, you shoot him.
3.) You have to write post-it notes with your kid's names on them.
4.) You're on so much estrogen that you take your Brownie troop on a field trip to Chippendale's.
PART 3: SIGNS OF WEAR:
"OLD" IS WHEN...Your sweetie says, "Let's go upstairs and make love," and you answer, "Pick one, I can't do both!"
"OLD" IS WHEN...A sexy babe catches your fancy and your pacemaker responds by opening the garage door.
"OLD" IS WHEN... Going bra-less pulls all the wrinkles out of your face.
"OLD" IS WHEN..."Getting a little action" means you don't need to take any fiber today.
"OLD" IS WHEN..."Getting lucky" means you find your car in the parking lot.
"OLD" IS WHEN...An "all-nighter" means not getting up to pee!
Have a great day!

Sleep is not merely a "time out" from our busy Life of searching for nudes of Natalie Portman, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer memorbilia and; it is essential for good health, mental and emotional functioning and safety. For instance, researchers have found that people with chronic insomnia are more likely than others to chop young women and develop several kinds of psychiatric problems, and are also likely to make greater use of healthcare services. People suffering from sleep apnea are likely to have higher blood pressure while they sleep and suffer from excessive daytime sleepiness and drug use.

.....Merry Meetings, all you Ageless Ones!
Myself I like the long silver look, I am always worried if I cut my hair short I will look like one of those old woman with the Poodle doo. but that is just my preference.

yep, I'll always look older than I feel! Just found out that thanks to genetics, I'll probably be getting grey hairs when I'm in my 20's. Oh joy.

I started getting greys when I was 19. Family thing. My Great-Aunt was completely white by the time she was 21.
Of course, since I was 19, I've been every shade of the rainbow since!
I stopped dye-ing my hair a year and a half ago and there are (thankfully) only a few stray greys here and there that instanly get plucked as soon as I spot them!
Although I'm planning on dye-ing my hair very soon, I'm also thinking of letting some more grey come in. I keep getting told that I look like I'm 17 which would be nice but when you are trying to be taken seriously in business, it's not a great help.

...Thanks, Skye, for the advice about the long hair length. Mine's curly, usually get comments from strangers, like, 'is that your real hair?' ....so perhaps I'm the exception to the poodle look. I know what you mean. I tell my kids to shoot me if I start looking like a dandylion-gone-to-seed!!!
---Some years ago, I woke up with the tune of 'Neverland' in my head: you know, the song from the play Peter Pan? Whistling that song, and the tune, 'I won't grow up' is a good reminder how to grow younger with time.....arent' we lucky to have the time to consider the quality of the years and moments left to us?
Like the saying,
"Life is not measured in the number of breaths we take,
But the moments that leave us breathless. "
---As I move through Middle Age, it's wonderful to remember to get out and enjoy those sunrises, and sunsets, and all the miracles in-between.
---Have a beautiful day, everyone! I'm getting out there now :)
And I don't care if it IS raining pitchforks!!!

Ahhh....
I've been creeping about the earth for 29 years now. Although there are days where it feels like I've been at this for a few hundred years. :)

Oh My
I am so old I remember when Jack Kerouac and Alan Ginsburg were my fav. authors and Speakers lololololol I was also a hippy and flower child. I also remember The Bay of Pigs and how we all sat around drinking because we figured the end was near.
I must admit I may be old in years.........I never plan on growing up LOL and it has been an exciting ride.
May the Lord and Lady always smile on you

elvenlaurai, I know how ya feel. I'm only 19, but I feel like I've existed since before the middle ages. You know, before education was lost. I have a PDA and a computer (obviously) yet I can't get away from writing everything on little notes. I always want to wear clothes from those days. Right now best I can do, is the few "peasant" outfits I have. Why can't OLD old clothes come back? I also feel like I have all this untapped knowledge and such from way back whenever, I just can't apply it. So I come off as your average teen. I hope that made sense.
