I had to lay one of my ferrets to rest today

One of my 6 ferrets were seriously ill. I had to put him to rest today. It was the hardest thing that I have ever had to do. I could not let the little guy suffer anymore

To all of the administration here. I know my signature is a bit long right now.....It is a memorial for my pet. I can remove it tomorrow. Please have a heart and allow it to stay for 24 hours. :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah:

Over this last weekend we had to put down a horse. Actually, a close friend of ours brought her old horse Hap (Happy Go Lucky) to stay and keep my horse company during his last days/months of life. They were here this last Sat. when we noticed hap wasn't getting up from lying down.
We went down to try and help him up....his legs wouldn't hold him...we tried and tried until late night and came to the conclusion the next day that he had a stroke. We covered him up, not figuring he'd make it through the night, but he was a fighter.
Donna (the owner) owned Hap since 73. We buried Hap next to another horse of mine named Lady.

But understand that animals have spirits just as we do and if they love you they stay with you. I had to do the same with my horse a year ago, and it was the hardest thing I had ever done. But the pain lessens after a while and you remember the joy they brought you.

To answer your question Klucky....it was Harley.

I woke up yesturday morning....everything seemed fine. I went shopping and when I came home, I saw that Harley kept trying to go to the bathroom...but could not. When I finally got him to the vet...they said his bladder was full of crystals...and was about to rupture. If it ruptured..his little body would poisen itself. I had no choice...I did not want to bring him home and have him suffer. So I held him during the whole proceedure....so I could grab onto his soul as soon as it left his body.
