I miss you already friend. I know you are walking with the Goddess now in a beautiful place. No need for your oxygen or nebulizers here. No need for a feeding tube and you can eat what you want. No more broken ribs from hours of painful coughing. I bet you had a great time tossing away all those bottles of pills that are no longer needed.
You leave behind you a legacy. All of us will forever remember you for so many different reasons. Many of my coworkers will click their tongues and say"Oh yeah that poor kid he never took care of himself right." Not me friend, I understand that you did the best you wanted to do and it made your short life as happy as possible. In our many long talks late at night amidst the beeps and hums of all your equipment did I ever tell you I loved you? I can't remember....I do you know. You were my favorite patient because you were real and you taught me so much. Oh how I wish I had made the time to hop in bed with you for popcorn and a movie!
Enjoy yourself now for this is your time to shine. The Goddess will keep you in her warm embrace for as long as it takes. When you are ready you will do so well the next time around. I hope we will meet again soon. May your next life be more pain free than this last one and may CF never affect you again.These past 26 years were more than enough for you to deal with.I love you freind and I miss you dearly.
