If you could go out and get a msytical animal as a guardian which animal would it be?

I love mystical creatures, especially Unicorns,Dragons,and Basilisks. But if I had to choose I think it would be a dragon.

This was a really hard decision. There are so many wonderful mystical creatures to choose from. I couldn't decide if I wanted one that had a mean streak or one that was purely kind. Finally, I decided on two! Sorry, I couldn't just pick one!!
First I picked a Dryad. A Dryad is a Celtric tree nymph or tree spirit. They are supposed to be mostly kind, being either helpful or playful. They usually live in willow trees...my favorite!!!
Second, but not any lesser, I picked Karkadann. Karkadann is the Indian or Persian unicorn. It is very strong and ferocious, having the elephant as its enemy. It rests under dove's nests and protects them because of their beauty. Also, its horn is black and spiraled. It is supposed to be a very large creature.
There were a million more, but these were the two that really stuck out in my mind.

Well I just have to say a Dragon. Most I meet are bold, strong, wise, protective and kind.

I suppose it would be nice to have a faerie as a good friend, though most faeries I meet are greedy theiving little gits who (physically, not kidding) tamper with my computer and steal my stuff... grr... As such I'm off to town tomorrow to buy myself a book on faeries, I need to educate myself.

a pine marten is cool and cute, gotta watch out for those doritos though very dangerous prey! and you have got a good point about the whole t-rex, they were my favorite dino when I was a kid, nobody will mess with you until somebody decides to get a bigger predator j/k.

Since my garage was broken into twice last year, I'm thinking that a dragon would scare the bejeebers out of anyone trying to do harm to my property. However, would a dragon scare away the birds & squirrels?
