View Full Version : I know who I am, but not whether I belong here

Hello
I have a strong sense of rather irreverent humor, believing strongly that there is no wisdom devoid of wit.

I have a bit of the Wiccan way in me, but I think it is more in the form of the old wise-craft than the new. Is there a Wiccan group that acknowledges the martyrs and their progeny from whence their newer practices come down to them?
I am a theistic dualist. I suppose in that I see One who has aspects of the two.

I tend to be Seer. I tend to be poetically mystical. I tend to express my thoughts/prophetic memes in verse which can be interpreted more clearly than prose, and which takes most of its imagery from the more mystic aspects of the Bible, and sees the Bible as both a source for deepest wisdome and a book of sacriledge against the truth of the dual nature of O, the Originator of all things, and the letter most often left out by Jewish Orthodox mysogynsts, and the symbol that most represents the feminine both as letter and number.

I would like to offer some of my poetry here for possible enlightenment of others, such that others can in turn discuss the ideas within and thereby further enlighten me. Some poems are humerous.

I would like to uncerstand more of what is called Wicca, and Paganism, for although I feel it is my particular best path to remain a solitary I learn much from others. Solitary can be lonely, though I have family and friends my faith is solitary.

If possible, I do not want to be ranked by this board, for even the highest of rankings is heretical to my belief system. In turn I will ask my mind to obfuscate the rankings I read here. My wisdom or lack thereof should stand on its own merit, I think. So, I believe should yours. The child is often wiser than the crone. The poor old woman often wiser than the King. The student often wiser than the teacher. Rank is anathema to me, for it only sets up a hierarchy of hubris. I would be an humble student to the least of you here and a marvelous teacher to any who find me so.

I comprehend most of the science I read and try to keep abreast of new discoveries, particularly in quantum cosmologies and physics and in genetics. Some of what I say may have some of this inherent in it. If I confuse with this, please pardon and ask: I am not attempting to patronize for that is also against my belief.

With all I have said, am I welcomed? :fpeek:

Thank you Sweet Nothings. You are the first to welcome me and so you are the first in my thought as I look herein. I am in the mind/soul now. You will find that sometimes I write more normally and less mystically, or as some would say more "down to earth." I hope I do not put anyone off in this state, but am open such that I see where I go in this begining of communication with those I cannot see with my "down to earth" eyes.

Wynnjera: Thank you for your welcome. When first I looked I seemed to see a website regarding evolution there in your welcome but now it is gone. Perhaps I saw something that wasn't?

Hi there, Phi. I'm new here as well.
Considering the things you've written in your post, I'm guessing that you've read and understand 'The White Goddes' by Robert Graves. Maybe you could share your understanding of it, assuming you've read it, in the Books forum. I started a thread over there asking if anyone has read it. I just can't get into it. It sounds interesting but, I'm not afraid to admit, it might be way over my head.

:welcome: and Merry Meet.

One thing I have discovered is that all paths are welcome here and respected. The road one person takes to an end does not have to be the path another takes to the same end ... it is not the end but the journey that teaches us and allows our souls to grow.

Brightest blessings!

Well to start off, I picked the wrong nick--lol. I was supposed to be Thalias_Smile, NOT Lamias_Smile...two TOTALLY different demi-goddesses...lol. Anyway--I am 29 years old...female...and really getting into the "Western Mysteries" (the more hermetic path, w/some focus on shamanism). In fact, some friends of mine and I are in the process of developing our own hermetic system, including a numerology system which includes decimals! Well, that last part is under consideration right now.

I live in Central Cali, though I would prefer living closer to Oregon coast--I HATE the San Joaquin Valley right now...I have a wide variety of books ranging from Eastern Mysticism, Ceremonial Magick, Shamanism, Wicca, to Christian Mysticism. My favorite musical artists are Vas and Russill Paul.

My present spiritual studies are mainly focused around meditation and tarot interpretation.

You are welcome.

The karma system is meant for fun. You should read the FAQ. It has no bearing on real karma or even if karma exists at all. It also speaks nothing about how wise or unwise you are. If you don't like it then you can simply ignore it.

Welcome home!

Welcome, Welcome. Don't worry there isn't a ranking system here. Unless there's one I'm not a aware of???? Mysticwick conspiracy??? NOooo, surelly not. hmmm (looks around, yes I think they are judging me) O.k I'm just joking, I tend to say these type of things for my own amusment. So you just have to learn to ignore some of these random crazy things that somehow find their ways out of my mouth.
