I am a student and have recently dove into the path of finding myself like minded friends and less of a controversy among the public, I am in debate class and subsequently we are debating sepparation of church and state, as pleased as I was to see the issue, I need some more guided help in making a good debate using a few current and provable issues, going on now in our world, in our community... can any one help me, I know it sounds silly, but I do need help and I would like to make it a public discussion that has set silent for too long. We deserve the right to be known correctly and stand for our beliefs not the states version for the masses of christian biblical fiction, leading our nation into distress and feud. What can I do to set a ground in debate for the sepparation of church and state I have a paper due on monday, and I need several issues current and poient to the subject, I would like to have it be of interest of our community as I stated above, thank you to you all.
I look forward to learning more and contributing to the community as well.

First off, Welcome to MW darlin :)
I personally think that the Church and the State should be seprate. Just because not everyone may be Christian...
I only have my opinion, sorry I can't help you out more.

Hi and welcome. I am new to this too. If you are primarily looking for just opinions ans suppporting arguments regarding separation of church and state, you might want to start a thread yourself asking this question in the section for politics. Hope this helps you out, and, again, welcome.

I took a course on law & religion last semester, and there was much discussion on how the laws and legal arguments have defined religion...what's more, I took very good notes. What exactly are you looking for? Do you have a specific issue/context you want to focus on or need ideas? This is a law school course so all the info I have is centered on real Supreme Court cases or doctrine. PM me or I will try to forward an outline to you and can take it from there.
With luv from the lawyer witch.... :graduate:
