~sigh~ Sorry... the only cure is to get a new boyfriend... :p :D
Give him a good dose of 'practical Rune Magic II'. Carve it into a scented candle (try a eucalyptus scented one; give him a "double whammy").

This is a great tea for colds...
1 tbsp of each: peppermint, elderflower, yarrow, feverfew, dried ginger, hyssop, & anise seeds.
9-10 rosehips, grounded up.
Mix together & store in an airtight container. Use 1 tsp per 1 cup of boiling water & steep 15 mins. Strain & add honey if you like. Actually, honey will help soothe your throat. Drink 2-3 cups per day. Stir the tea counterclockwise & visualize all the bad cold germs going away. Stir out the runny nose, sore throat, whatever symptoms of the cold you may have. Then stir clockwise & ask the energies of the herbs to heal & strengthen you.
:p This isn't quite as drastic as getting a new boyfriend! :D

Thats a really nice recipe! :D I have been drinking Peppermint, Ginger and Lemon tea with honey in (and a dash of whisky at night). This always soothes my nose and throat but I havent tried your other ingredients for a cold before, Ive got Elderflower and Im going down to the health food shop later on so Ill look out for Hyssop, Rosehips, Feverfew, Yarrow and Anise seeds.
I normally stir clockwise and think healthy and strong! This time ill stir counter then clockwise with your suggestions! Thanks again :p You guys are so sweet!

No I havent, I always go with Reiki now, just because as soon as I think of healing my mind automatically draws out the symbols and I cant get them out of my head :D
This is a very good page for healing with runes which I found a couple of weeks ago and it got me thinking about trying to use them again

I actually made runes out of these. I used camphor and eucaluptus for the oils. Turned out well.
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup salt
1/4 teaspoon essential oil
2/3 cups boiling water
Food coloring, if desired
In bowl, mix dry ingredients well.
Add essential oil, and boiling water to dry ingredients. (Scent will be strong, but will fade slightly when dry.)
For colored stones, blend in food coloring, one drop at a time until desired shade is reached.
Blend ingredients, and form balls into different shape and sizes to look like stones.
Allow stones to dry.

It would be great to make a healing rune using a purposely picked Aromatherapy Oil for that rune ~ say Lavender, Neuroli, Bergamot... so you can use that rune to meditate for healing purposes only.

That's a good idea to work the oils & herbs in the runes.
I've been trying to work out a bindrune for fast recovery for surgery. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them. :)

I've wondered about using runes instead of the Reiki symbols but haven't tried it. I know one person who is doing this with good results but haven't been able to find any other information about it.

Practical Rune Magic II will work for emotional healing, as well as physical healing... using Laguz, or a BindRune of Laguz & Uruz would also be good... it would look something like this...
