It's soooo gorgeous outside :flowers: I can't wait to get the hell out of this office and go home and play outside!
Tomorrow we're having some friends over to help with chainsaws and such. We're clearing out the brush around the pond, taking out the blasted sumac trees and having a bonfire! :flamer:
On Sunday we're going to the Ren Faire...I'm going crazy trying to find something to wear as I don't have any wench-attire.
What are you doing this gorgeous spring weekend?

well, tomorrow I have soccer at 8:30 for the girls and again at 11:30 for my boy. So in the afternoon, we'll probably go to the park and feed the ducks. Or clean the basement.
No idea for sunday....usually paintball, but we're waiting a couple weeks to get a group of us together and do some team strategy-type work.
Hopefully it stays nice so I can take the baby outside. He's still confused by grass and doesn't like to touch it! But it keeps him from sticking things in his mouth!

Mostly two DJs one up one downstairs. Occasionally "the Elders" an Irish rock band play there. We used to have a techno night, but it was a nightmare for us security guys what with all the ecstasy we would find.

Well that would be the question. I used to have koi and goldfish, with a few minnows thrown in just cause my dad went and bought them. (We live upstairs and they live downstairs, we share the yard.) I used to have fish. until the Racoons ate them all. Every last one of them.
So soon I shall: clean out the pond, build it a little higher ( It is above the ground because we live on a rock. I built it of rock and concrete block) and get some more fish. But I am going to put an electric fence around the pond or something. I just don't think I could go through the trauma of losing my babies again.
Thanks for the offer of your kitty, but we have 4 of our own cats outside (one that lives inside) and tons of neighbor cats, plus an occasional bob cat or cougar. Plus owls, roadrunners, red-tailed hawks, COONS, wild chickens, rattlesnakes, you name it we got it.
Wild flowers, are in a package of mixed flowers, not really sure what. I wanted some blue bonnets but I think I'll just enjoy them along side the roads. On my long drives to work I enjoy all the color. I'll let you know tomorrow.

When I was a kid and lived in eastern Washington (oh, how I hate it over there), we had black widows AND rattlesnakes to watch out for. At least over here in western Washington (which is essentially like a different country, both climate wise and attitude-wise) we have very few poisonous animals--though we do have the *shudders* hobo spider.

I'm out the door soon to go to dinner at Beni Hana's for a friends' b-day, and then we're all (7 of us girls!) going to Dave & Buster's afterwards. We'd do the nightclub thing, but it's not fair to the designated's, and I'm prolly the only one who'd get out there and bust a move anyway. LOL
So I'm sitting here "all dolled up" waiting for my sil to get here so we can go. We're stopping at the mall so she can get some shoes.

Yesterday we worked in the yard all day, and had a pretty substantial bonfire thru the day. Some friends came over (this was a huge event for me, b/c I have some weird phobia 'bout ppl coming to my house) and we had a cookout.
We were supposed to be going to the Ren Faire today, but it would cost $36 to just walk in the door, and I'm being conservative b/c my children are out on break for 2 weeks and will no doubt want to go! go! go! So I think we'll go to Duke Gardens and have a picnic and play catch with the dog.
(pouts) I really wanted to go the Ren Faire.

Hey! I got my hair cut yesterday too! *air five* Girl! How did you like Jersey Girl? I've been seeing the preview, looks pretty good, actually. I really like Kevin Smith--looks like he's growing up or at the very least, feeling the pressures of fatherhood, no? lol...
Phooey, I'd like some new clothes too; I will worry about that next weekend!
So today I have like this birthday party to go to for my niece. *eye roll* Kids birthday pizza party thingie... But later on this evening, after this party thing, I am hitting the GOLF course! I am totally stoked about that! Haven't decided yet to go and actually do 9 holes -- maybe I should work on my skills... by hitting up the driving range, the bunker ... I do really need to work on my bunker skills.. and my short game, of course. Your short game either makes you or breaks you... *sigh* Bah, I guess I'll just see how I feel when I get there.... then again, maybe 9 holds wouldn't be so bad. ;)
:D Nothing like real life game pressure to get you out of the rough and onto the fairway, no?!

Today turned out to be surprisingly wonderful :)
This morning, while having breakfast, we saw two pair of bluebirds checking into our birdhouses!
Twas so tweet
Then, the kids and I went to Duke Gardens and had a picnic lunch and just walked around, feeding ducks and taking pix. We went to Francesca's after for ice cream/coffee, and ran into a friend I haven't seen in ages. We made plans to get together next month.
Then, we went to the used bookstore, where we all found something awesome. The baby girl picked Despereaux, the baby boy got 3 Animorphs books, and I got Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs for me and Motherpeace Tarot book for my girlfriend.....who called me while at the coffee shop! :hearthear I haven't heard her voice in a few weeks, so that was a much welcomed call.
While at the bookshop, a man struck up a conversation with me and we chatted for a good half hour. He was a shaman from Guatamala, about 60 yrs old and had such pretty blue eyes. It was a pleasure meeting him.
Now, as long as DUKE wins this game against Xavier ~ this day will have been perfect!
And it has been a perfect day, baby!!! Going to the Final Four :deviltail I love my Blue Devils :hahugh:

Did you say drum set? Wow! I've been wanting a set for a couple of years now. But realistically speaking, I've really no place to put it--this is a small place :( and the neighbors aren't very friendly when it comes to noise, or music for that matter! Yeah, security has come knocking on the door before--big surprise, huh? I guess my neighbors don't fully appreciate Les Claypool talking about "Too Many Puppies" at six o'clock on Saturday mornings! *sigh* However, back to the drums, I was looking at one of those nifty electronic ones that you can play with a set of headphones. I didn't have the fifteen hundred dollars at the time... Maybe in the coming year I will think more seriously about acquiring a set. I love the drums--I even have a set of sticks--just no drum set. I remember wanting to be Moon "the Loon" when I grew up! Man, I love the drums!
 ~ Monk ~ I hope you get YOUR set, buddy! You'll have to get someone cut an MPG of you doing your thing.. that would be awesome!

My daughter was in the TIPS program that Duke does with 7th graders...
She was a very smart kid. Still smart but made some really dumb choices.. but .... don't we all??? I know I did. Luckily, mine are mostly over. She is only 23 so she has quite a way to go.

I'm planning on sitting on my porch and working on the play that i've been writing. That about covers the extent of my energy for this weekend. LOL

I was in that program! That's the one where 7th graders take the SAT?
And then I went on to make many, many mistakes....
But, I'm making up for them!
