Has anyone been a victim of or cast a Hex? And, if so the former, how did you negate it? If this takes of, i'll post a ritual for it.

Good idea Bloodstone. Thought i'd bring my previous post in..........

I think I had one put on me by someone a few years ago. I'm fine now, the effects didn't last long because I received help from the local Spiritualist Church.
However, shortly after that, this person had a breakdown and lost all her powers (not my doing, I wouldn't know how!), which to this day have not returned.

Ive been under astral attack whcih has the potential to be more dangerous than psychic... although they are one off encounters so they can difused without too much effort. ok heres the story *sharp intake of breath* I was aware that i was dreaming and lying in my bed, i was sort of out of my body although i was lying on top of it so to speak when i became aware of a spirit near the foot of my bed. She comunicated that in her life she had been a spiritual worker, working with teh dark planes but when she died she got traped there and needed me to find someone to help her out. I thought "I can do this" and i felt myself peeling out of my body. At that point she turned murky (she had been a lovely radiant white before) and dark and i knew taht i had been deceived; what it did to me felt like touching a live wire and can only be descirbed as excruciating pain in a non-physical way. It felt like my aura was shatering and on fire, luckily for me i had the reflex to go straight back to my body and it took several minutes for my aura to stabilise enough for me to integrate with my body... as i waited i kept thinking "what a fool i am". This just goes to show you that there *are* negative entities out there intent on causing harm to ppl (especialy those with natural light) and leaving your body or usiung a oiuja board etc is not safe there *is* no effective defence against an attack like that- they may have had the equivalent of thousands of years to master energy in the astral world.. the physical and astral are very different planes of being. And yes you can make shields, but its like wearing protective gear- if u get involved in an acident it wil stop u from geting serious damage but it wont prevent the acident. and it wont stop u being in agony either.... remember that when u burn sage or make a circle you are doing it on the physical plane and an entity with even a smal amount of experience in energy manipulation will be able to cross a circle and do you damage.

It always seems to be the nightime things that are the most frightening. During my 'episode', which lasted for about a week, the one thing that really sticks in my mind only lasted a few moments, but seemed like forever. It was the night after i had met a family member of the woman who was attacking me, I think he was the link she needed??

My bedroom has to be intensly dark at night, blackout curtains etc., so I can't see a thing. This particular night something woke me up. I turned over to see what the 'feeling' was behind me, and i saw this shape, blacker than black and giving out the most evil energy. I was absolutely terrified and rigid with fear.
Then something inside me told me it was OK, I was safe and this shape then shot out through the outside wall. Sounds silly reading it like this, but it wasn't at the time!

It's the only time I've ever 'seen' anything, and after that i decided i didn't want to see anything ever again. I think thats way i can't see anything now, even good things. It's a shame really, i'd love to see my guides, but that fear is blocking me still, i think.

Yes had this happen to me. I had a woman that wanted my boyfriend cast spells on me via a rootman.

I did not know about the spell casting until about 10 months after we broke up and she had been with him for about 4 months.

I am still fighting the spell work she send my way.

Surround yourself with a protective energy field, and that should help.

If you know who sent it, send them love....(that was the hardest part for me - the woman is a real dog - please substitute the other "B" word).

Try that protection bottle. That has really worked for me too.

Think 'voodoo doll'... there are many varieties, including a rootman, made from a root or stick that has the general shape of a person...

So, a rootman is not the actual person but a poppet or tool of some sort. What kind of magic uses rootman?

It seems like there is an interest. Here is a ritual to break a hex.
1 - Gather a black cloth, a grey candle, sage incense, a red candle, salt, water, vinegar, a picture to represent yourself. and a bowl to place candles in. Cleanse yourself, and meditate on protetive beings, naming no names, just meeting them.
2 - Devotions
Say over Incense while liting:
May the power of Air blow all negativity away. I cleanse this Air.
Say over Red candle while liting:
May the power of Fire burn away all that hinders me. I cleanse this Fire.
Say over water
May the power of Water wash away all negativity. I cleanse this Water, and Concrate it in the Name of Okeanos and Posideon.
Say over Salt:
May the power of Earth Bulid strong the power i raise today. I cleanse this Earth.
But Salt into water and stir three times, Saying:
May the Sacred Salt drive out all Empurities in this water. I empower this water in the Name of The Harvest Lord and Radient Lady.
Sprinkle some on the Altar saying, May all things that rest on this altar be made holy on this night, in the name of of Madien, Mother and Crone.
Asperge water widdershins, and Take the incence around in the same matter.
Say:
A golden thread of light I take,
Into a Golden Circle I make.
It shall be a boundry,
Between Worlds,
I shall hold power,
and help me clear hurdles.

Draw in energy from the Earth and Weave a net of light around you in a circle.

The Earth and Air surrond me, as the water washes all clean.

Draw in energy from the Stars, and Fill in the gaps in the net with it.

The Fire of Stars illuminates my path, I now walk between Worlds.

Stamp your foot before the altar, and Say:
As above, so below this circle is sealed.

2. Calling of Quarters.
At the East:
Thrones Willing,
I do call,
Please bring justice,
To those that have cast this hex.
I ask that you Witness this rite.
So be it.
At The South:
Ancestors of Fire,
Ye I do stir,
I call my Ancestor Witches,
TO lend your power,
And break this Hex.
I ask that you Witness this rite.
So be it.
At the West.
Dragon of Water,
Ye I do stir.
To wash away this plague,
That hath darkend my skys.
I ask that you Witness this rite.
So be it.
At The North:
Wings of The Meadowlark,
Flap this way.
I summon ye now,
From the realms of the Spirits.
To Protect me,
As I work this Magick.
I ask that you Witness this rite.
So be it.

At the Center

Aradia,
Queen of The Witches I call,
To help me now,
With this task small.
To protect me from this Hex.
I ask that you Witness this rite.
So mote it be.

Hekate,
Goddess of Magick I call
To help me now,
With this task small.
To break this Hex that hath been placed upon me.
I ask that you Witness this rite.
So mote it be.

3. Statement of purpose.
I come before those here to break the Hex thats been placed upon me.
4. Ritual.
Take Grey Candle, water, mirror and incense, and place them next to the bowl. Put your representaion of yourself in the bowl, and cover it with the black cloth.
Say:
This Dark Cloud that covers me,
I Banish with spirit. So be it.

Take your picture out of the bowl and put the cloth inside.

Take the grey candle, light it, and set the cloth on fire.
Say:
I burn this Hex away with the power of fire, so be it.

Take the incense, and draw a banishing pentagram over the cloth's ashes/ the buring cloth.
Say
I blow this negative energy away with the power of air, so be it.
Take the mirror and let it reflect the remainder of the cloth.
Say:
I send this energy back to the person that sent it.
Take the vineger and pour it over the ashes.
Say:
And the evilness is gone from my life. May those that cast it never again raise negative energy.
Raise power at this point, and empty it into the vinegar and the ashes.
Take the water. and pour it into the mix.
Say:
I wash this energy away from me.
So be it.
5. Close quarters:
Thank the Goddesses from your heart.
Thank the quarters and Dismiss/Say fairwell/ Thanks again and say Hail and Fairwell, then rest.
Draw in the energy from the stars, and say:
I am on the physical plane.

Draw in the energy from the earth and say:
All is clean, and none surrond.

This golden circle disipates,
Gone is the energy.
And may this spell not reverse,
nor place upon me any curse.

So be it.

I called on the different beings for different energies to work with. Ask all angels, and all you'll get is angel energy. :)

Sorry if this sounds naive, but wouldn't simply asking your guardian angel for help protect you?

That would work before a hex was cast. That was one i used when someone hexed me and my cats. I only have 3 left now, out of 5. I returned the negative energy, and he won't be casting any spells soon. His circles no longer hold up. I know becuase I heard him telling somone at school. He hexed me becuase I had dated his ex-girlfriend.

Indian Agate, Red Jasper, Obsidian and Turquiose would be good 2.

A rootman is not the "voodoo doll". It is the term for the man that created the root doll or voodoo doll.

Also, my guardian angel kept most of the danger away from me, but I think it was a major lesson for me. Therefore, A lot of things were allowed to happen to me.

Soz this took so long to get back... Um Guardian Angel- they are very highly evolved beings and dont interfer unles they are allowd to (by us, and the universe) however asking for help makes the thought form of them, always good!
Crystals.. haemetite is indeed grounding, the most comon portecion ones are fire agate (returns harm to the sender, alowing them to understand why its wrong) rose quartz )(to replace agresion with love) amethyst (to allow spiritual energies to enter) black tourmaline (reflects all harm) and pyrolusite (to dispel negative atachments). Of course there are lots others to use.. amber or citrine for example, to soak up negative energy or labradorite to protect the aura.

Fringed Violet is also great (find it on the wepage lol) ir the meditation esssence would help :-)

Well...I think this basically varies from person to person.

My guardian angel is not a "real angel" it is mainly a guide that protects me. I believe it is one of my ancestors that decided not to reincarnate.

I don't believe in the Bible type of angels following me around = I think they have better things to do.

However, my seer and shaman keep trying to convince me that I have a winged angel following me around .... but that is just an opinion of theirs. So far, I have not seen this "angel" manifest itself.

Oh well - who knows - all of this is just speculation anyway. Isn't it.....

Some believe there are several orders of angels, and that one order chooses to guide and protect people.

My father, who is not Pagan, nor of any religion really, believes that when his time has come his Valkyrie will come and fly him to Valhalla. :)

Incidentally, hexes aren't always intentional. For instance, sometimes if you're around people who are in a bad mood or walk in on a big fight between two people close to you their negative energy will affect you. For instance, yesterday I ended up very very sick as did one of my best friends because of a lot of negative energy that was floating around in our environment.

Oh man - that is a very interesting thought. I notice that when I am near certain people I get VERY negative.

Never connected it to actually getting ill...that REALLY resonates as truth with me...

Thanks

It's more likely that you've lost your end of the "connection" than that your guide(s) have abandoned you. Try the angel spell, or a simple return/reflection spell (see Runecharm # 5 or 6 in the Practical Rune Magic thread stuck near the top of this forum).

This always reminds me of the DragonLance: Chronicles where it's man that has abandoned the Gods, than the Gods abandoning man.

When I feel threatened by serious negativity I like to do an ancestor ritual and ask them for help. This is a good one and I got it from http://ifafoundation.org/library-ancestor.html.

The actual ritual of ancestor worship is extremely simple. For the basic ritual all you need is a clear glass, natural water, a white candle, and the discipline to set aside thirteen minutes a day for seven consecutive days. For seven consecutive days, at the exact same time each day, you will light the candle and offer prayers to your blood ancestors. you will call each name three times, and, after offering your love and your thanks, after offering the water for coolness and refreshment and the candle for light and energy, you may bring your problems to them. This doesn't mean asking them for a new pair of shoes or for your lover to call that night. We only ask our ancestors to intervene in serious life situation. The lost of a job, illness, the breakup of a relationship - these are the kinds of issues for which it is proper to ask their help. if no serious problems exists, then simply ask them for guidance in your life, health for you and those you love, and prosperity for your home. For example, my prayers go something like this:

Ajuba (Blessings) to all my departed ancestors. Particular blessings and thankfulness to my father, Mortimer Neimark, my father, Mortimer Neimark, my father, Mortimer Neimark. Also to my mother, Hortense Neimark, Hortense Neimark, Hortense Neimark; to my son Adam Neimark, Adam Neimark, Adam Neimark, and to all my children who did not reach term; to my grandparents John and Lillian Peters, John and Lillian Peters, John and Lillian Peters; Charles and Etta Neimark, Charles and Etta Neimark, Charles and Etta Neimark; to my great uncles Stanley Neimark, Stanley Neimark, Stanley Neimark; Arthur Peters, Arthur Peters, Arthur Peters; Norman Peters, Norman Peters, Norman Peters; to my great aunts Genevieve Neimark, Genevieve Neimark, Genevieve Neimark; and Lucy Ribback Peters, Lucy Ribback Peters, Lucy Ribback Peters; to my great-grandmother Nancy Peters, Nancy Peters, Nancy Peters, as well as all those whose names I do not know but whose blood runs through my veins. Please accept the coolness of this water so that you may be cool and comfortable. Please accept the light and energy so that you may have brightness and strength. I love and miss you presence here on Earth but gather strength and wisdom from your continued energy and guidance. May that guidance continue to open my paths and roads and the paths and roads of those I love. May you wisdom bring love and prosperity into my home.

I'm sorry if I sound dumb, but is this a book?

It's a "series" of 3 books based in the AD&D worldset of Dragonlance. It has a very good message and a Pagan/Christian feel to it. Also the characters are memorable and have their own quirks and problems they have to deal with. For example, the "Paladin" Sturm hates magic and is very superstitious against it BUT he is in the group with Raistlin who is a magic-user and who is sarcastic and cynical as well.
No previous knowledge of the world or characters is needed before reading this set, since most of the extra books about the characters aren't truly faithful to what is written in this set anyways.

Anyways, bringing about back to the topic at hand. I don't think guardians abandon people. Like Victor and his fairies (http://ohmygods.timerift.net/cast/) I feel they'll keep after you until you die. Hopefully it won't be them trying to end your existance early to take the job off :rotfl:
