View Full Version : Strange sensation when holding Rose Quartz...?!

I've never really been into Rose Quartz, infact I have only ever owned one lump which was given to me in a gift pack (which consisted of a book, some candles and the lump of Rose Quartz)
It sat in my bowl with my other crystals for over a year, until this past week or so, when I suddenly felt very drawn to it. After carrying it in my pocket for a week on and off (my skirts dont have pockets! ) I've started to get an odd sensation when I hold it. It makes my hand sort of tingle when I hold it, almost like it's vibrating without my noticing or something.
I was just wondering if anyone had any input, as I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to Rose Quartz and dont quite know what to make of it!!
Is this unusal? Is it a good sign or a bad one?
As I said in a different post, my heart chakra (which is the one Rose Quartz is connected to, right?) is very underactive according to some questionnaire or other - could it have something to do with this?
Thanks in advance!!

merry meet
I have rose quartz next to my bed and I hold it for a while before going to sleep(For sexual inspiration) :bigredblu
I get tingles in my hand and heart,so I would deffininatelly say that your experience is normal.
Try meditating with it to feel it's loving powers, flow into your body!
untill next time
blessed be

Glad to know its not a bad sign then - as I said I have very little experience with Rose Quartz!
I'm kind of developping a bit of a bond with it now, I've never had such a response to a crystal before. It goes everywhere with me

Oh, it's talking to you! That's so cool! Try to channel into it...I think there may be a message for you.
*looks around for HER pink quartz--need that thing bad lately! LOL*

It's a wonderful healing stone that really generates a lot of calm. It's as cooling as jade, but doesn't make you as sleepy.

I love rose quartz! I would say that the tingling is a wonderful thing. I think that the crystal is tuning into you quite nicely. If your heart chakra was low then it might be helping to add energy to that.

Yeah, its getting quite persistant - the tingling is much stronger, and now it reaches up past my elbows!!! I shall try meditating with it sometime this week, and see what happens :)

My obsidian has started tingling too! :D
I think perhaps I am just getting more sensitive to the energies of crystals :)

Rose Quartz is the stone of love, wether love of mate, child, friend, or pet. All Over love.
All minerals vibrate and they all have their own frequency. Only some people can feel crystals talk. They have all differant powers and can help in many ways. Its great your waking up to your crystals.
There are some book out there like..Love is in the Earth. by- Melody.
Melodys book are very detailed about the power of minerals and stone and crystals and how they each vibrate.
Enjoy your new crystal friend!!!! I'm very happy for you!!:clapping:

I didn't consciously try to get them to talk to me (I didnt even know crystals could tingle like this  ) I just spent a week with what was obviously a crystal with a very strong energy to it. I even slept with it  and now I can feel a tingling with most crystals it would seem :) Try spending some time with your favourite crystal, without forcing anything to happen.
It's funny though, the buzzing from the rose quartz and the tingling I get from my lump of amethyst is subtley different; its like comparing smooth sand paper with coarse... or a cheap wine with a really fine one - the rose quartz has a much 'rougher' tingling to it than the more refined and smoother amethyst!!
I'm looking forward to going out tomorrow and just picking up some rocks from a field and seeing what they're like, compared :floating:

Amethyst is a good choice for a healing stone. Many consider it to be a master healer. You may also combine it with a little lavendar oil, not on the stone on the skin where the stone is not touching. They work well together.
