Our friends have been telling us they're convinced I'll get pregnant in the next few months or early next year... Anyways, I've tried to do readings on this myself but I imagine my personal feelings are getting in the way.

If anyone has time please throw a few cards for me and let me know what you see.

I drew three cards for you ~ Present, Near Future, Long term Future (outcome)
& got...drum roll please!....
King of wands ~ Which could stand for you or/& your man aswell ~ I think he is being very inspiring and loving at the moment ~ Ultimately this card speaks to me of creativity and promise. You are really aiming high, creating new projects, ideas, passions desires in your life and planning for these.. aswell as talkign to others about them a great deal. Theres allot of excitement round you, your full of inspiration and confidence and you exude this to others with passion. This stands for (at a guess) your enthusiasum to have a child and I think it represents you aswell down to a T! :)
Next I got the Ten of Pentacles!!! ~ Which shows a happy family ~ a man and a woman lovingly smiling at their two children, surrounded by fruits and fertile meadows, a lakes and green grassy hills. So Id say your friends are to be listened too! from this card (and the next...) because it stands for family love and affluence! Aswell as a very happy long term relationship, creating new long lasting projects and abundance of wealth, luck, love and health.. This aswell as the Empress Id say shouts fertility and family!
For the Outcome I drew the Sun :sunny: which again speaks of a great deal of joy, love, success, contentment and blessings! I certainly think everything is going to go very well for you in the next few months! & there will be a lot of light shed on this subject.. as you will find clarity and inner knowledge!
Whatever you touch, start, work on will turn to gold ~ in every aspect of your life ~ materially and spiritually I think!
Its going to be a very happy time so get ready to smile, laugh and carry on talking a whole lot more :D

Did a four card spread for you I've been practicing with:

Card one (Where you are right now): The Sun

Lots of joy in your life at the moment, you are obviously very keen to be a Mum, and you have given lots of thought about starting a family. This is something that feels 'right' for you to do, and you are going into this full of wonder and excitement.

Card two (Obstacles in your way - crossing card one): Knight of Wands

Knights always symbolise a warning, or advice, not to take something to extremes. The Kinght of Wands is saying (IMHO!) that although you are extremely excited and bold about your decision to start a family, don't go rushing headlong into it! I also get a strong feeling that you are so excited that you are talking about it lots and lots - I think you may need to SLOW DOWN!!!! and relax - practice feeling serene and at peace instead of full of hyperactive energy!

Card three (What you can do to help): Queen of Pentacles

I get two things with this card - the main one is to get the practicalities sorted out - see your doctor, make sure you're fit and healthy, start eating right etc etc - and the other feeling I get is to seek out an older experienced mother for advice, whether it is your own mother or another woman you are close to.

Card four (Outcome): 10 of Cups

Oh boy, there are times I love the cards!! The 10 of cups really symbolises family - I don't think I need to say more! I get absolutely no feeling about when this could happen - all I get is it will happen when the time is right.

Kind of funny, a lot of people here at MW would probably be surprised to meet me in real life - off the computer I'm quiet and I have so many learned Pagan friends that just recently I've begun to feel confident in helping write rituals etc.

Just realized friends are family too, lots of friends in real life who support us and now here at MW too I've found many friends to learn from and talk to!

Too true. I keep weighing it and weighing it and even though financially and career wise I'm not sure it's the best thing to do it just FEELS right and that's so hard to explain.

Ok this made me really giggle out loud, it is SO true. My SO is so tired of hearing me mention it (especially since he doesn't think he's 'ready')... This also makes sense because I'm so obsessed with it happening I keep forgetting it will happen when it will.. I'm just so impatient ! :)

Ok, first, I was just yesterday reminding the SO that I hope his health insurance card comes through soon because I have to make a doctor's appointment and visit the dentist soon. The idea of talking to another mother is uncanny... I have a friend who has 2 daughters and she is always teasing me about being pregnant and lately on two occasions she had an opening to tease and she didn't, which is so unlike her. Meanwhile her kids have been all over me lately (even the very very shy baby who previously couldn't look at me without getting upset - though I'm comforted by the fact that she was doing that to most everyone but mommy, daddy, and grandma lol) and I was thinking of asking her if she thinks my energy has changed..

I have a feeling I'm not supposed to know when at all. I have this innate need to know when things are happening, exactly what's going on, and so on, and its just being thwarted lately. I think its a lesson from somebody so I can learn that sometimes I have to trust the Gods and myself. I think this is also part of why my cards won't really talk about it - they're so sick of hearing it anyway I'm sure!

I meant by confidence and inspiration that you support and are really there for all your friends and family. I didnt mean that you are loud because I didnt get that at all, just very kind and respected by all who know you.

The cards rarely give me a time frame, and some of the ideas I've read (such as wands referring to number of days, cups to weeks, swords to months and pentacles to years!) seem a little silly!

Glad to know there's another impatient soul out there - I'm terrible - if I want something IT'S GOT TO BE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!
