Is there a good or bad?

Hi, I have a tarot set(The Enchanted Tarot)which I received for my b*day last year. I was wondering is there any certain set or any thing that isn't that great or some that are better then others. This my be an exeptionally dumb question but I have alwaysed wondered this. Also is it better to receive your cards as a gift rather then buying them yourself??? Cause I've read that somewhere and was wondering. Thanx and Blessed Be-

Read some of the recent previous threads, that question was just asked (I think the most prevalent one is called "mistake" or something along those lines and was started by Mist)......

as far as being given or buying them, I've heard the same about all the tools. I bought mine myself as I was drawn to them, I think maybe my fiance would be the only one who could pick out a deck I'd like too, and he doesn't meedle so he wouldn't do that.... buying them is just as well :)

I've bought all my decks myself. :D ....and they work fine for me. I think it's just a old wives tale....back from when you couldn't obtain a deck very easily. You had to know someone who knew someone kind of thing. I think it would be a gift to you so that whomever had given it to you, could mentor you and train you. This way, they also knew that you were serious about the study of the Tarot. Remember, you couldn't just go out and buy a book on the subject matter!

Now-a-days though, I don't think this applies. You can go to most any bookstore and even online to get a deck of cards. :D

It is not the Cards thet make the Reader. The Reader reads the Cards - with no mind to the deck. The deck will talk to you if you let it.

Go for it with the Enchanted Tarot!! You will get amazing results if you choose to connect (hold the cards, speak to them ..and they will speak back!) and look deep into the cards :D

I've bought all my decks myself!! Okay so hubby paid for them as he was with me!! But i did the picking out. I use the Sacred Circle deck and love it. Never got into the rider waite. But i guess i will with the class starting soon.
SO i say go with what feels right to you!! You will then connect better with them.

I have several decks, some work better for me than others but that's just me, know people who work well with decks that i hate...its a personal thing
