There was another thread here somewhere where someone claimed to have an amazing amount of control over weather. If you can find her thread, I'm sure there will be other posts there.
I personally have never tried a spell for weather....just prayers :). I do have summon the wind, rain, and sunshine spells...just never had a need for them just yet.

Weather magic is a very specialized type of magic. It takes a great deal of practice and study to master, even if you happen to have a natural talent for it.

However, I would strongly caution you against playing around with weather magic. Changing the natural weather patterns has serious consequences. For example, sending away one storm could accidentally cause a severe drought for the next year.

interesting how people automatically assume weather magic always entails the changing of weather, sending away storms or causing them, snow spells etc. while i can't say i've never done one of these, this is definately not what weather magic is about, at least not to me.
you can actually work with the weather. not against it.

Have I tried weather magick? Yes. Did it work? Yes. Would I do it again? No!!! Not unless I really needed to.

I've got a natural affinity for little weather-dances which have incredible effects. Unfortunately, if you summon the snowstorm that causes someone to be injured, the karma's on you. I don't need the grief. Now I've learnt my lesson, I only ever pray for weather changes or bring very gentle rain at the most.

I know a boy who caused half of his town to be flooded with weather magick gone wrong. He felt so guilty, he gave up WitchCraft altogether.

In both our cases we were playing around with the weather and it bit us in the behind. Trust me, I know... watch out!

Just my little bit of advice, anyway :). Just be responsible, OK?
