I was with friends last night and one of them told us the following true story:
********************
"I was out on the Yorkshire Moors with Sylvie {his wife} on a blustery {windy} day. While she was looking at the wildflowers I went for a walk up a small hill.
I stood there just looking at the beauty of it all for a while, then suddenly the strangest thing happened - I saw the wind!
It was amazing, all these little wind spirits rushing around, backwards and forwards, round in circles, all around me. I watched, totally flabbergasted for a while, then thought that I'd got to go and tell Sylv.

I rushed down to her, shouting that i could actually SEE the wind, wasn't that amazing?
She looked at me with a quizzical look on her face for a few moments, then said "But haven't you ALWAYS been able to see it?"

It turned out that she'd been able to see it forever, but because it was so natural for her she thought everyone could see it, so she'd never mentioned it!"
******************

Now, this got me thinking on my drive home. There are many people who say that they can't see or hear or feel various energies that other people can. Like for instance, when someone says they don't get anything when they meditate, and then discover that what they'd thought of as daydreaming all their lives is, in fact, a meditation, a trance state.
Or in my case, I used to think that i didn't receive messages from my guides, because I never heard another voice in my head telling me things. It took me a long time to realise that the things i felt, or just knew, about a person or place or situation wasn't just 'female intuition', it was more likely to be help from my guides.

Thought this might help anyone who thinks they don't get anything - you probably know or sense more than you realise, but because it's always been with you, you don't recognise it as
something different or special.

Hope this all makes sense!

By the way, can any of you see the wind??

Congratulations! Alas, it's not for me to be able to I think. I once tried to see the wind as a bardic lesson. This poem is the result.

Breathless

You are not to know me,for I am everywhere. I was born by a laugh from the Gods. I am as gentle as a kiss on the nape of your neck, Or violent enough to knock down your sacred trees. I am the motivator of clouds, and leaves. It is I that howls outside your door. You are wrong in the assuption that I die down, I have only moved on. I am nowhere and EVERYWHERE! No,you do not know me.

you know, I've never really thought about it. but, before I got my specs, I thought everyone saw the world like I did, all a big blur. aparently, my father did not understand this, and yelled at me for not telling them that I couldn't see ANYTHING out of very short range. (and to make it more worse, my eye sight doesn't get any better, just slowly decends, Ill probably end up just seeing blurs sometime. Not that that's a bad thing.)

hmm... i'll have to keep an eye out for something like that going on....

Wish I could Twig, but it wasn't me, I can't see it at all!

It was a friend telling the story. Seems he wasn't trying to see it, he'd never even thought about it! He is a very sensitive person, with a lot of other gifts and has been a great comfort to me in something that has really got me down for 18 years.
Maybe it's something that happens naturally if it's meant to be.
Lets hope that one day it'll be meant for us too.

I always felt something in the wind. I never seen it by it's self, but, I have seen dust and snow in it. But, I always liked the way the wind or a gental breeze makes the trees move and the way it moves my hair. It just feels like it is alive. It makes the whole woods seems to be more then just a group of plants. I think standing in the woods, feeling the breeze and watching the tree move in the breeze is what got me to think that there meight be more to this world then we know. It got me started believing in Mother Earth as a Goddess.

As for animal spirit guides seem to like to talk to me in my dreams. But not talk really, they seem to perfer using images.
