Movies and books. I'm a sucker for chick-flicks. And 19th Century romances (Jane Austen, the Brontes). I love them.

.... Pride and Prejudice...

Mmm.. Excellent book. Nothing to be embarrassed about. Now if you were caught reading it in the nude, that would be embarrassing. Not to mention funny.

I like the Monkees and al the earlier day music. Blame my parents. I grew up on the stuff. I have a very broad range of musical tastes. Everything from classical to club mixes and all the metal stuff in between. Anything BUT rap or teeny booper.

ONe of my most embarrassng moments? Running through the local shops [I was trainging this day] and I turned my head around to err perv at a nice looking female and ran smack, right into a concerte pillar. Broke my nose and had three stiches above my eye.

Not a good look.

I used to like Hanson, haven't heard any of their stuff in awhile so I can't properly inform you of how I feel about them now.

I love the Bloodhound Gang too, but no shame there.

Hmm. I pick my nose, but I'm not embarassed about it.

Honestly, I don't really think I have anything I am embarassed about. I'm just so shameless.

I'll try and think of something though.

I love trashy romance novels. Especially the period romances with the girls in the long gowns and the strong manly men with no shirts on....you know, like the kind Fabio used to pose on the cover of

Really, the interests I have that I am embarassed about cannot really be discussed on a family board. Suffice to say, I do some one-handed web-surfing from time to time, and let's leave it at that.

As far as books, and movies, ect go I think the only one I can think of is that I love cheesy samurai flicks, and Dragon tales. Also a huge Jane Austen thing, but I'm proud of that, says something about your intelligence I think.

My most embarassing moment, Halloween 5 years ago. I was dressed as a fairy (it was my fav costume ever!!) anyways me and some friends were downtown and were crossing the street. It had been raining and my shoes were kinda slippery. Needless to say I busted my hiney in the middle of the street. Meanwhile my friends walked on without me and the light turned green and everyone was waiting for me to get up so they could go.

Well, I'm embarrased cause I love the jingles of some TV commercials. The problem is that, when I like one it stays in my head and I keep singing it until my hubby says how crazy I am!!!:hehehehe:

I'm big into Soap Operas...
The Young & The Restless, Days Of Our Lives... and yes - even Passions...
I'm also into the Israeli soap operas out here.. They're good!

Its sometimes embaressing when someone asks me about a soap opera I watch, and I start reciting the whole family line & evil deeds each member did for the past 10 years (I've been watching these soaps since I was like 10 I think..)...

Yup...

I used to like Hanson & Backstreet Boys & NSync... But that was back in my teenage days... And it happened for like a year, and then I turned into the Metal head that I am today...

But I WAS in a private NSync show, in this place in NYC which I totallk forget what its called... There were like 150 people int he audience - thats all! My friend got us tickets... and I got to touch Justin & JC!
SHUT UP! I think I was like 15 or 16.. This was a few months before they REALLY became big...

Embarrassing? Well...

I've been to several Star Trek conventions. My son is (rather indirectly, we just happened to like the name, but we heard it on Trek) named after a minor Star Trek character (Ian Andrew). I've met Marina Sirtis (counselor Troi), Michael Dorn (Worf), and Majel Barrett-Roddenberry (Nurse Chapel in the original series, Lwaxanna Troi in Next Gen, and Gene Roddenberry's widow). Majel sent our son gifts when he was born.

'Nuff said, right?

Okay, I finally have something.

Romantic gestures. They make me feel awkward, uneasy, uncomfortable, and totally embarassed, especially in front of other people. :bigredblu

I'm kinda iffy about PDA [Public Displays of Affection] watching other people try and eat each others face is not cool.

Okay, obviously I'm not embarrassed by reading material/literature--I write genre, I love genre. PDA's don't bother me either unless the couple's feeling each other up in a way that's more than R rated.

However...I am embarrassed to go out in public looking ratty or sloppy. I simply refuse. On the two occasions that readers/fans of my work recognized me, I walked into shops, looking like the cat dragged me in, and I was so embarrassed! I looked totally unprofessional. I refuse to go out in public now without looking pulled together. Also, I hate it when I make a typo...but that's my O/C coming through.

When people make quick movements with their hands or something in their hands near my face I duck my head. It's so embarassing they'll look at me weird and it's the only way to get me to blush. And of course a trashy romance novel every now and them.

OMG! Marina Sirtis was the biggest b*tch! I'm not sure if she was just in a bad mood the day I met her, but while she was signing autographs she snapped and snarled at everybody and was COMPLETELY unpleasant.

And it's not the Star Trek fandom that's embarrassing; it's the fact of having gone to Star Trek conventions. Just how geeky is that? But in my defense, it was my hubby (then fiance) who asked me to accompany him or I wouldn't have gone, and I did not get dressed up as a Klingon or wear a uniform. So there.
