View Full Version : Easter

Just the other day I realized that for Easter, they always use rabbits and ducks as symbols. I can understand the rabbits easily, but why the ducks? Why do people use our eggs for symbolism, but not us? Why ducks over chickens when we play a bigger part? What good has a duck done lately to be seen as a symbol? It ain't fair, I tells ya! I bet they just know that us chickens are always Wiccans. :hehehehe: Or maybe we're Wiccans because we didn't get enough Christian recognition.
Somebody please either clarify this, or bring me justice.

Easter is such a cauldron for anything symbolic from, the lunar goddess, to
sexuality(excaimed the following month) to the trinity of christianity it has become
somewhat fun to participate in; to actually find the christianity within it, well....
Ministers point this out every year. If I had a duaghter, I would make her a bonnett. If I could find a restaurant who serves game rabbit, I will be there!

My dad cames in last night and goes.."What do you want for easter?"
"Nothing, I don't like chocalate and I don't celebrate the holiday"
"Ok..what do you want to do for Good Friday and easter sunday?"
"What's good friday?"
Shows how much I paid attention in school. I went to a Catholic school for 7 years and never paid attention! but I'm going to see if I can get a trip up to the city.
