If I shuffle, I do it "dealer" style 7 times then cut by pulling a few from the middle and placing thme on top of the deck. Otherwise, I have the querrent do it all at their consent - more chaos that way.

There is no right or wrong, only chaos.

I split the deck into 3 piles and reassemble in opposite order one.

Mee too!! I either cut into three piles and put them back ontop of eachother, or just pick staright out without cutting, or read from the top of the pack...whatever feels best and right at that time, reading, spread! But when Im reading for others I either cut three piles or get them to choose the number of cards from a fan of the deck.

Self reading: I shuffle Dealer style too, but I shuffle until my "Solar Plexus" chakra gets this funny little feeling, that's when I know it's time to Cut the deck. Then I cut it into 3 piles with one hand, bottom of deck is the first pile, middle of the deck is 2nd pile and top of deck...what ever is left over from the second cut is the third pile (right to left). The middle pile goes on top of the first and the first on top of the third. :D Did you get that? lol

Others: I shuffle at least three times, then let the querant shuffle and cut as they choose. :D
