Can someone help me with an animated gif?

I'm the first to admit I am an utter computer moron, so please bear with me.

I have five wonderful banners that have been made for me by WynnJera and Faeawyn, and I love 'em all. I also have my photo of the Boogie-kitten. I'd love to have them all up at once in my sig, but that breaks the rules--and with all my writing projects I'm not organized enough to rotate the banners efficiently...

Anyway, Xentor has gently reminded me twice not to overdo it and today he suggested getting an animated gif of my banners made so I could run 'em all, and keep my Boogie-kitten too.

Can anyone help me do this, or do it for me? Wynn tells me she can't-- any volunteers? I would be terribly appreciative. :hugz:

i'll give it a try boogins. but i might not have time before the weekend. i just did my first animation yesterday! i'm so proud! :D (cause it took me ages to figure out)

I wish I knew how. I have Flash and have made a couple of animations

But they are very rough.
I don't know how to do the rotating banners.

The Animation Shop program that comes with Paint Shop Pro (I have version 7) does transitions, including the rotate effect.

i did one this morning, and the frames are all there, it's set to infinity, but it stops in mid-animation, which is weird.
i'll post it here so i can download it on my dad's computer and try there, maybe there's something wrong with my program. :twitch:

ps boogins i got your pm, there were three banners and the little blue one, but there was a red x showing that one pic didn't upload properly. i'm guessing it's the banner to the right (book-eating kitty). so i used that one.

anyone who has an animation program is welcome to download the animation and help me figure out why it's not running properly... :spaceman:

edited to add: :D hey, if you click the thumbnail, it works! takes forever to upload, but it works... funny that it didn't on my previewer. i'm thinking the file size is too big. i'll try and work on that.

okay... here's one without the phasing, which makes it alot smaller. (xentor gave me some tips :) ) the problem with the larger one (504 kb!!!) is that the pages on MW might take a while to load with that image.
this one's only 68 kb, which should be fine.

right now the delay is set to 0.5 seconds. i dunno, you might want me to make it slower or faster, which wouldn't be a problem. so let me know how you want it, hyperactive style, or laid-back style? :hehehehe:

i set it to two seconds now, which i think is easy on the eye... (edit: i can make it slower still if you like.) and i took the little blue banner out as per request.

Thanks so much, Mothwench!! I really appreciate this. If some of the banners need to be resized so that they all flow well one into the other, please do so. Also, you can put them in any order you think flows best.

The banner no longer exists on Mystic Wicks. I suggest you ask MothWench to send you a copy.

I don't know what happened. The image is there, but somehow it doesn't display as an image. If this happens with more banners, it's most likely a server problem. I will inform mol.

I have seen many other posts from folks who are thanking "x" for their banner, but nothing is visible. I have checked to see that all my settings migrated properly to the new server, but I can't find anything out of place. Any other hints as to what I should look at?

Okay, maybe no problem. I just went to my Photobucket and added a different graphic. It is showing up okay. So your initial idea that the graphic is no longer on the new server and I need to get it from Mothwench is most likely correct. When I hear from her I'll give that a go.

right, i've got a search going on my hard drive to find all your banners. :lol: my pics folder is so messed up, i can't find anything in there, might take a while.

i'll edit them in when i find them.


edited to add: xentor? i can't upload. the green field in the upload box says d-c_ani_banner4.gif not a valid image. and on top of the green field there's loads of writing:
