View Full Version : My kitty cats

I have a 2-year-old domestic black cat named Adrian Matthew. I named him Adrian Matthew because Adrian means "black earth" and Matthew means "gift from God".

I also recently got a 7-year-old cat named Brooke. I got her from my friends Karen and Warren before they moved to Texas. Brooke is a Devon Rex cat according to the vets. I don't think she looks anything like Devon Rex cat though. The origional owners named her Brooke, because they wer fans of the country group Brooks and Dunns so they named her Brooke and her brother Dunns.

Here is the only picture I have of Brooke:

Here are a few pictures of Adrian:

Pretty kitties!

Very pretty kitties! No, Brooke is no Devon Rex. They're little skinny things with huge ears and very short wavy fur. Brooke is a very pretty silver tabby, though. :)

Thank you! :D

I have no idea where the vet got that she was Devon Rex cat, but she looks like a Tabby to me too. She shares no qualities with a Devon Rex in looks or personality. There are two vets at the vet office that I take my cats too. The one knows what he is doing, and obviouslly the other one doesn't. The one who doesn't know what he is doing isn't around much, but he was the day Karen took Brooke to the vets. I told the vet office I want Dr. Hursh not the other Dr. I'm not having the other vet wind up killing my cats.

Hrm, Adrian Matthew looks like a perfectly spoiled kitty! And I bet it won't be long before Brooke joins him! ;)

Nothing wrong with that...I spoil mine too.

Adrian is extremely spoiled!

He's a really sweet cat. He hates to be held which bugs the heck out of me, but he's really good with people and when he knows you he loves being peted on the ground.

He only hissed at me three times. The first time was because I accidently pulled him by the tail. I tought I was picking up one of my stuff animals from under the bed that he knocked over and it turned out it was his tail. Poor Adrian. The second time was when I had to give him a pill. He didn't like the fact that I was forcing him down and trying to give him a pill he didn't want. And finally the third time was when I took him to the vets with a lot of cats around and it was right after I brought Brooke home, so I think it was because he thought I was bringing more cats home that he didn't want. He was fine as soon as I walked him out of the door.

Besides those hissing events he only hissed at one other person. It turns out that it was Adrian intuation kicking in. He even tried to scratch the guy and he never tries to scratch anyone!

I've also trained him to behave while cliping his nail and trained him to walk on a leash. Of course it helps that you don't have a color that you snap on rather than buckle on.

Sorry, I'm talking about my cat way too much now.
