Well, the initial reason for this post was to ask everyone if they have a nickname (magickal name excluded) that they've been saddled with all or most of their lives.

I was the human dictionary all through primary and secondary school, due to the fact that I was an avid reader and won an award for better spelling and grammar understanding then the teacher (in his words) :) I was also fascinated with words and flipped through the dictionary to find exciting new terms when I was bored...

Then I became the mad typer in college because I type between 60-120 wpm and hard :)

I just recently started being called a Gnome because I'm short :)

Oh and my dad's called me Squeaker as long as I can remember. (don't know why, it just stuck)

Uh boy...here we go...

Okay, for as long as I can remember, my Dad has called me Muffin...or Muff for short (NO snide remarks on that one!!), and when it wasn't that it was Ratsafrats....I know what you're thinking...WHAT??? Well, remember Yosemite Sam? What did he always say instead of swearing? "Ratsafrats-a grumble grumble etc, ad nauseum"....right? I guess I was a handful ;) :eek:

As I got older I got a few more: Babe (from my now-hubby, then-boyfriend), Baby (I was a Dirty Dancing afficionado), Rocky and Rocklyn (both from my brother...our last name is Larocque), Chicky-boo (oh please, don't ask... :crazy: ) and I'm sure I've mentioned that at work I have a nickname....Rae-and-her-water-bottle...

Whew...I think that's it...???

My given name is Paulette which my brother couldn't say so I am still called "Pawyee" by my Mom at times.

Then came the razing from my fave Uncle. He would just call me "Paul" but I would return with a "Marsha". His name is Marshall. Another he called me was "Poulet" which is french for chicken. And "Pollute" which I hated because I would NEVER litter.

My brother had a circle of friends that all became psuedo-brothers to me. They all, still, call me "Pooey" or just "Poo".

A fave babysitter when I was young called me "Polywog" which I like and sometimes use as a screen name.

Hubby comes home and yells for "Lucy", I call him "Ricky" of course! But most of the time we go by "Meeester" and "Meeesus". Or "Crazy Man" and "Crazy Lady".

There was "Pull It" in highschool... but don't ask :eek: !!!

Sorry it took me so long to find this! If you have seen the exorcist 2 you will know what it is, Well in the movie(Which is LMAO Funny IMHO) That girl Reygan is back and they think she may still be possessed. SO they hypnotize her and realize she has been having dreams about this african boy who has healing powers and such. Well in one of the dreams. The old father guy from the first Exorcist, is younger and studying the boy because of his powers. And the boy, while fighting this huge swarm of Locusts. falls to the ground and Father Bradley goes there and turns the boy over and the boy just yells out, in a cackling matter. "I am Bazooza!!!" Oh my god It was hilarious, and then they got around to saying that Bazooza was the Locust who possessed Raygen. So I Just thought it was hilarious, because that movie was so horrible that some of it was funny!8O Well anyways hope this helps!:D

My mom named me Heather, partly because it couldn't be broken down into a shorter name. My uncle didn't like the fact that my name couldn't be shortened so he called me Hank (and my cousin -- a chubby baby -- of the same age, Tank). Hank & Tank.

So every once in a while my mom still calls me Hank... I like it :) Mostly cuz it's the only nickname I've ever really had.

Now my sweety calls me all kinds of good stuff.... I call him Sexy, and he calls me Hot Stuff. Or Legs. And there are the other typical lovey dovey stuff. :)

Well i could get in a lot of trouble when certain individuals read this post!! So be fairwarned I may get booted.

My nickname was Sissy because my dork brother couldn't say Brenda at two??? (loser!!!) Anyway everyone called me that and it stuck. When I went to school they would call my name and I would just sit there...takes a long time to recondition the mind. Then I started telling everyone at home to stop calling me that because it was confusing. My dad was the last to give it up. My cousin calls me Sissy everytime I see her...trying to annoy me I guess. However that is what she now calls her daughter. I tried to warn her about the probs with it but she just laughs!!

Ok now for the part that will get me in trouble....a certain member of our community, that I will not directly name....lets just say he has the power to ban me permanantely...and its not EW!!! Anyway his dad used to call him dumplin as a baby and over the years it got shortened to Dumps!!!! Most of his family still calls him that. In fact his nephew calls him uncle dumps...he even let it slip once while he was at band practice with him!!! You should have heard the comments on that!!!

Oh yeah! My dad used to call me punkin (yes, that's the way it was said, so that's the way I spell it) as well, thanks for reminding me, Spider_Angel....

Oh, and one more...*shivers*....my mother STILL calls me "Rae Lynnie".....grrrrrrrrrr :bad: .......HATE IT!! HATE IT!!! HATE IT!!!!
