View Full Version : Please Light a Candle

Today, in Israel, is the Official Holocaust Memorial Eve, and tomorrow is the Official Holocaust Memorial Day.
I would like to ask for whoever can light a candle in honor of those who were murdered by the Nazies - Jews, Gypsies, Gays, Disabled, Catholics, Blacks, Children, etc - To do so.

If you can't light a candle, please just take time to remember those who for absolutely no reason, but hate, were sent to their death like cattle to the slaughterhouse.

Being a grandaughter of Holocaust survivors, this would mean a lot to me.
Thanks so much to you all.

Consider it done hun and energies and peace to you. We should all be reminded of the wrongs done in the name of rightious causes. Hate is just wrong! May we all hopefully learn from the mistakes of the past. One day peace will prevail.

Cant say no to this request.
It pains me so to think of the horrors so many had to endure.
Candles will burn.

I was a teenager the first time I heard and read about the Holocaust. It horrified me. I didn't sleep for days. I cried.
My candle is burning.

You got it Hon...Like Gala, I was educated about the haulocaust early on in my life...my mother is somewhat of a WWII buff, and we have a bit of Jewish ancestry through my great-grandmother in our blood. My mother's elementary school pix look a lot like young Anne Frank's.

I've been to the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles...it's a great experience and a must-see for everyone who can't make it to Europe or Israel. They try really hard to have you picture the Jewish ghettos and their experiences during that horrible time. A lot of it is shockingly macabre, but the lesson is clear...Never again...I hope...never again.

thoughts and prayers and energy with you Morr...candle in rememberance lit...:hugz:
